Album · 2005 · 12 Songs. 21st Century Schizoid Band. A Salute To King Crimson.

Century Schizoid Band repertoire. The same must be said of Progress which is the only song in the set that I had not heard before. It is taken from Michael Giles solo album of the same name which was recorded around 1978 but was not released until 2002. Overall, this is a great live concert recording. The 21st Century Schizoid Band is much truer to King Crimson's original sound and spirit and they carry on the flame and preserve the great legacy of that band better than anyone else.

But the 21st Century Schizoid Band has, since forming in 2003, toured Europe, Japan and the United States, performing the best material from Crimson circa 1969-71 without Fripp's involvement. With four alumni from that time and one ead vocalist Jakko M. Jakszyk-21CSB's latest release, Pictures of a City, is proof that not only can you go back, you can even improve on the original. They can also double up on saxophones, making live versions of "Pictures of a City," from In the Wake of Poseidon (Discipline Global Mobile, 1970), and "21st Century Schizoid Man," from Crimson's debut, actually more powerful and faithful than those played live by early incarnations.

The initial band featured Mel Collins on saxophones, flute and keyboards, Michael Giles on drums, Peter Giles on bass, Ian McDonald on saxophones, flute and keyboards, and joined by 'new guy' (and Michael Giles' son-in-law) Jakko Jakszyk on guitar and vocals. 원: Ian McDonald, Ian Wallace, Jakko M. Jakszyk, Mel Collins, Michael Giles, Peter Giles.

The first is the NTSC encoding problem. The live version simply ends after the 4th verse. The concert rendition is about 7 minutes of the total . minute song. The very instrumental reprise that defines this song is absent.

Die alte KC-Recken klingen taufrisch. Mt Herrn Jakszyk haben sie einen großarugen Gitarristen gefunden, der, im Gegensatz zum Original, auch im Stehen spielen kann.
