The collection contains three different picture versions, that all play the same recording. The three versions feature images of the five original members of Duran Duran. The set consists of an 18 minute interview with Simon Le Bon, recorded during 1982 and does not contain any music.

Simon John Charles Le Bon (born 27 October 1958) is an English musician, singer, songwriter and lyricist, best known as the lead singer and lyricist of the band Duran Duran and its offshoot, Arcadia. Le Bon has received three Ivor Novello Awards from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors, including the award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music.

Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes wanted to further explore Duran Duran's atmospheric aspect and formed Arcadia, who released one LP (So Red the Rose) from which the single "Election Day" was released. Contributors to that album included guitarist Masami Tsuchiya, bassist Mark Egan, percussionist David Van Tieghem, drummer Steve Jordan, Sting, Herbie Hancock, and David Gilmour. In November 2010, Duran Duran announced the worldwide release of their 13th studio album, entitled All You Need Is Now which was to be released on the band's own Tapemodern label and distributed by indie label S-Curve Records.

Duran Duran has enjoyed tremendous longevity. As you survey the pop landscape, which bands do you think we’ll still be listening to in 2 years? Le Bon: Not many bands. I don’t think there’s many bands who you’ll be listening to in 20 years. I don’t have anything to say outside of this. Certainly we’re so committed to this. We love our new album and it’s always great to finish a new album anyway. It’s super great to finish an album that you feel super good about. We’re on the road as long as we can. If this record is a success, we’ll know because we’ll still be playin at Christmas. The early imagery of Duran Duran was very sexy, with lots of models and wildness. This isn’t an apples-to-apples comparison but after the decadence of Duran Duran, a lot of the boy bands that followed were very wholesome by comparison.

Duran Duran will be performing at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas Sept. 18-19 and streaming on Yahoo Live. Although the cover of their 14th album, Paper Gods (coming Sept. 11 via their new label, Warner Bros. features iconic images reminding us where they’ve been - think: the Nagel model’s smile from 1982’s Rio; a big cat representing 1983’s Seven and the Ragged Tiger - the music shows an act eager to fit in with the modern musical landscape.

Duran Duran has had 21 songs on Billboard magazine’s Hot 100 singles chart. The 10 highest ranked, with peak chart position and the date it got there: A View to A Kill, 1, July 13, 1985. In recording the album, Duran Duran brought in collaborators both familiar – producers Nile Rodgers and Mark Ronson – and new – singer Janelle Monae, producer Mr. Hudson, and actress Lindsay Lohan. The result is an album that sounds utterly contemporary, and utterly like a Duran Duran album. And that’s how they like it, said lead singer Simon Le Bon in a telephone interview earlier this summer. We have a very modern sounding record, Le Bon said

Duran Duran were named Q Icons at yesterday’s (19 October) Q Awards In Association With Absolute Radio, and you can watch them discussing the importance of pop imagery and iconography below now. Speaking backstage after receiving their award, the band consider their own pop icons, the importance of creating a world and more. Watch the full interview, including a look at the band’s new album Paper Gods, their experiences of headlining Bestival and more.
