Fancy is the sixth studio album by American singer-songwriter Bobbie Gentry. According to the liner notes for the 2004 compilation Chickasaw County Child: The Artistry of Bobbie Gentry, the painting is believed to have been done by Gentry herself.

Fancy (Bobbie Gentry album). Fancy is the fifth album by Bobbie Gentry. The first of three albums she released in 1970, it was recorded at Fame Recording Studios, Muscle Shoals, Alabama and eight of its ten tracks were produced by Rick Hall, the other two by Bobbie Gentry herself. String arrangements were by Jimmie Haskell. It was re-released on CD by the Australian label Raven Records in 2007.
Gentry rose to fame with her song, Ode to Billie Joe in 1967. The song spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song earned her Grammy awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 1968. Her album, Fancy brought her a Grammy nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Bobbie Lee Gentry (born Roberta Lee Streeter; July 27, 1942) is an American singer-songwriter who was one of the first female artists to compose and produce her own material. Her songs typically drew on her Mississippi roots to compose vignettes of the Southern United States. Gentry rose to international fame with her intriguing Southern Gothic narrative "Ode to Billie Joe" in 1967.
