My Top 5 Lush Bath Bombs

* Go shawty, it`s your birthday, we gon` party like it`s your party. In case it`s not obvious, I`m turning 28 today. So I`m allowed to sing In The Club, even though I`ll probably spend my birthday at home, enjoying some beers and playing Monopoly. Ah, the good life.*

Anyway, back to the post. I don`t think it`s a secret I love Lush. Every time I have a bad moment, I go into one of their stores and after 5 minutes I instantly feel better. I don`t know if it`s because of all the refreshing scents, the colourful things or the friendly staff, but that place is food for my soul. (and disaster for my bank account, but details)  So when Santa got me a big box full of bath bombs, I was ecstatic. Because the gift I got was the Christmas Bathtime Favourites, the bath bombs are out of stock, and I apologize for that. However, I thought that it will be a good idea to share them with you, to see which ones are worth buying. Inside the box I had the following bath bombs:

  • Golden Wonder
  • Shoot For The Stars
  • Luxury Lush Pud
  • Snow Fairy jelly bomb
  • Christmas Sweater
  • Thundersnow
  • Never Mind The Ballistic
  • Sherbet Dip
  • Butterbear

Although I can`t be sure, I believe that most of these will be available this upcoming Christmas. With some exceptions, most of these have been around for a while now. And I know that bath bombs are expensive, but it`s always nice to treat yourself around the holidays. So without any further ado, let me share with you some of the best bath bombs you can buy at Lush.

Christmas Sweater

By far my favourite, this bath bomb is the epitome of Christmas. It has a very spicy scent, Ginger being one of the main ingredients (though for whatever reason I smelled cinnamon). It is a slow fizzer: it starts as a pink, then it turns into orange and in the end, it looks bright red. The foam is thick and velvety, perfect for cold winter nights when you need a bit of TLC.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Ginger Powder, Mustard Powder, Coriander Seed Oil, Clove Bud Oil, Sicilian Lemon Oil, Fragrance, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Titanium Dioxide, Water, Propylene Glycol, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Eugenol, Limonene, Linalool, Red 4, Yellow 6 Lake, Yellow 5 Lake, Yellow 10 Lake, Red 27, Red 28, Red 33

Thunder Snow

Keeping up with the festive theme, let`s talk about a bath bomb that smells like peppermint canes. It also has popping candy, so you know you`re in for a treat when it starts to fizz. The foam has a rich, velvety blue-green colour, and the gorgeous scent lasts for a long time.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Popping Candy, Colombian Cocoa Absolute, Peppermint Oil, Cream of Tartar, Titanium Dioxide, Gardenia Extract, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Fragrance, Blue 1, Yellow 5

Luxury Lush Pud

Let`s switch things up and talk about the Luxury Lush Pud bath bomb. This is perfect for a relaxing evening when you want something that will calm you. It smells like lavender, and the creamy foam also protects and soothes dry skin. The colour resembles a little rainbow, with hints of pink, yellow and blue. If you`re a fan of the “Sleepy” body lotion, then you shouldn`t miss this.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Lavender Oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Tonka Absolute, Ylang Ylang Oil, Cream of Tartar, Titanium Dioxide, Gardenia Extract, Water, Corn Starch, Lauryl Betaine, Sodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Dypropylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Linalool, Coumarin, Fragrance, Red 28, Orange 4, Blue 1, Red 21, Red 27, Candy Holly Leaf

Shoot For The Stars

Again, we`re going to shake things up and talk about a fruity bath bomb. Sometimes, as much as you love a relaxing bath, you need something to give you energy. Well, look no further than “Shoot For The Stars”. The Brazilian Oil and Bergamot Oil are refreshing, while the Cocoa Butter and Almond Oil hydrate your skin. When it fizzes, this bomb turns your bath blue, and it also has a bit of glitter.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Brazilian Orange Oil, Bergamot Oil, Cream of Tartar, Gardenia Extract, Coconut Cream, Water, Almond Oil, Corn Starch, Titanium Dioxide, Laureth 4, Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Lauryl Betaine, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Iron Oxides, Mica, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citronellol, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance, Blue 1, Yellow 5, Yellow 5 Lake, Blue 1 Lake

Never Mind The Ballistics

And last, but not least, we have “Never Mind The Ballistics”. I`d say that this is another refreshing bath bomb, containing lime and orange oil to uplift the senses. Once it dissolves it turns your bath into an orange haven, with pops of pink and yellow.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Murumuru Butter, Laureth 4, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Lime Oil, Sweet Wild Orange Oil, Olibanum Oil, Cream of Tartar, Gardenia Extract, Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Limonene, Fragrance, Red 28, Yellow 5 Lake, Yellow 5, Red 27, Orange 4, Red 21 Lake, Red 7 Lake, Iron Oxides, Tin Oxide

I was in awe with Lush's Xmas collection. I spent far too much in their sales but least I'm stocked up for a few months. I picked all these up – so glad you love them too. Shoot the stars is definitely my fave <3 http://www.polishedcouture.com x
