It`s been a couple of months since my last proper product review, so forgive me if I am a bit rusty. I mean, I had an introductory post about Sukin skincare, but not proper reviews. So let`s change that and talk about my latest makeup obsession. As some of you might be aware, Makeup Revolution is one of my favourite drugstore brands. Their prices are ridiculously low but more important than that, the quality of their products is phenomenal. Most of the times everything I try from them becomes a favourite of mine and this product is no exception.
If you check out Superdrug, you`ll find this mighty declaration:
” Our Oil Control Fixing Spray is a lightweight setting spray that helps deflect surface shine for a natural matte finish. High Tech ingredients keep foundation and eye makeup in place, with NO smudging and NO fading. That ‘Just-Applied’ look for up to 12 hours.”
I do know how advertising works and most of the times these big claims are nothing but empty promises. Well, it is not the case with this product. I can`t vouch for 12 hours as I don`t keep my makeup on for that long, but I can honestly say that everything looked perfect after my 8 hours shift. No shine shine or fading.
Obviously, we all have different skin types and what works for me might not work for you. My skin is a weird combination between oily and dehydrated – dry. If you`re confused, let me elaborate. I have really sensitive skin around my cheeks and a very arid under-eye area. But my forehead and chin tend to shine like Lady Gaga`s disco ball. I did not have any problems with this fixing spray, it was easy to use and it did not irritate my skin. Like I said, my makeup still looked brand new after I finished work and I was pleasantly surprised by that. The pump makes it very easy to apply and one spritz is enough to last you throughout the day.
Personally, I would recommend this fixing spray to anyone, regardless of their skin type. It`s a great product and at 5£, it`s ridiculously cheap. Even if you end up not liking it, it`s not a big investment.
P.S. Thank you all for the lovely comments on my previous post. Your support means the world to me. After reading your comment I realized that sadly I am not the only one that lacks confidence in pictures. But we`re here for each other and we try to lift each other up, which is fantastic.
