Hello, everyone! If you read my previous post, then you might be aware that I am trying to have a healthier lifestyle. I have already implemented some small changes in my diet, but I want to do more. While it`s crucial to pay attention to what you eat, I think a healthy lifestyle goes beyond that. You should also be aware of the products that you use, know if the ingredients they use are harmful to you or not. Lush is one of my favourite brands and while their products are not 100% organic, they are hand-made and full of natural ingredients. I love their bath bombs and the face masks do wonders for my skin, without making me go bankrupt.
Normally I go for face masks that clear breakouts, like Cosmetic Warrior or Brazened Honey, but lately my skin was feeling dry and dehydrated, so I decided to give it a moisture boost. There were a couple to choose from, but after testing a few, I decided to get Oatfix! This face mask has a unique scent and it`s a blend of sweet ingredients, like bananas, almonds and oats. If you`re anything like me and love the smell of baked goods, then this is the product for you.
The texture of this face mask is thick and hard at first, almost like a scrub. Eventually, the heat of my fingers activated the oils and it was easier to apply, but I needed a very generous amount. You leave it for 5-10 minutes to make sure the oils do their job and then you rinse it with hot water. I would advise using a flannel as well, just to make sure you get rid of all the chunks. Moving on to the actual results, I was pleasantly surprised. You know that sensation when you`re really thirsty and you finally have a glass of water? It was exactly like that. My skin was feeling soft and even my dry patches were looking smoother.
While I like this mask, I am not sure I will repurchase it. I adore the scent, but the application is a bit annoying. Also, as far as the results go, I am pretty sure I could get them with a DIY mask. So probably NO, instead of buying this I would get my beloved Cosmetic Warrior or test something else. I would spend 10 minutes sniffing the tester, though. :))
