It`s a good time to be a beauty addict! While we still fancy Chanel and Charlotte Tilbury products, we can find solace in drugstore products. MUA and Makeup Revolution took the beauty world by storm and our lives have never been the same. For once, we don`t have to feel guilty about our purchases! Nowadays, if you have 15-20£ and you pop into a Superdrug, chances are you`ll walk out with a full basket. And no, cheap products don`t mean poor quality anymore! So today I`ll focus my attention towards Freedom Makeup, designed by the lovely and brilliant people behind Makeup Revolution.
There were a couple of sets to choose from but it`s Spring, so I wanted my makeup to be season appropriate. For 5£, you get a set of 5 full-sized lipsticks, a total bargain if you ask me. The packaging is quite simple and sleek, not that fancy, but not bad looking either. From left to right we have: Wildflower, Candy Sweet,Tell your Friends, Flushed and Pink Lust.
The pigmentation is excellent, one swatch is enough for a decent colour payoff. All shades are extremely wearable and even though I use Flushed and Candy Sweet the most, I love them all. The formula is very creamy and while it`s not that long-lasting, it feels comfortable on the lips and it does not dry them. I have to reapply my lipstick every 2 hours and that can be annoying sometimes, but I`ll always choose these type of lipsticks over matte ones.
Overall, I would give these lipsticks a 4.5 out of 5. For the price you pay they do a good job, I`ll definitely pick up another set. I have my eyes on the nude one, though I have so many nude lipsticks, I`ll probably make a bold move and get the Vampy one. Let me know in the comments if you tried anything from Freedom Makeup, I would love to test more of their products.
P.S. I made an Instagram account for this blog, you can follow me @beautynerd20. My other account will remain my personal/bookstagram account, so for all things beauty and fashion, follow the new one. It will look more professional and it will also have a colour scheme. Fancy, I know!
