On Wednesdays we wear pink, said the girl that does not own any clothes in pink. Technically I`m borrowing this iconic line from Mean Girls, but you get the point. I don`t know why I was never a fan of pink, maybe I thought it would make me look too girly and fragile. Lately, however, I started to embrace pink into my makeup routine and I realised that rosy pink cheeks and lips work well with my fair complexion. So I thought I would share some of my favourite products with you:
( I seriously apologise for the hideous photo. I scheduled this post, had a PLL marathon and at 5 pm I realized I have no photos, but the sun was already setting)
MUA Cream Blusher in Lush
As the name would suggest, this is a cream blush in a bubblegum pink type of colour. It`s not that bright when you apply it, though, so don`t think you`ll end up looking like a clown. The texture is very creamy and blends effortlessly.
Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in Soft Pink
Another creamy blush, those formulas are probably my favourite at the moment. This colour is perfect for everyday use and it just gives you the most natural flush ever. I got this because Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup kept raving about it and she was right. Lovely, pigmented, creamy formula that last for hours without reapplying.
This is a lip and cheek stain, that`s perfect for those moments when you`re in a hurry. The formula tends to dry pretty fast, so you need to be really fast when you blend it, but other than that, it`s a lovely pink that looks gorgeous on girls with pale skin.
MUA Lipstick in Shade 4
At 1£ these lipsticks are amazing and I have almost every shade from the collection. This is a bubblegum pink that`s meant to be a dupe for a famous MAC lipstick, but I can`t remember which one it is. It`s not as bright when you apply it and it does not last for a long time, but for 1£, it`s pretty good.
Rimmel Colour Rush Balm in Give Me a Cuddle
These are my favourite lip products and I guess you can tell that, by the way the packaging looks. They just have the creamiest formulas ever, they last for a decent amount of hours and are easy to apply. A cute pink lipstick, with an even cuter name.
MUA Eyeshadow Palette in Poptastic
This is the only palette that I own which is not a neutral one and it has 2 pink shades, so I thought I`ll share it with you guys. I think this is meant to be a dupe for the Urban Decay Vice palette, but I`m no expert. I haven`t used it that much, to be honest, but I sometimes reach for the lighter shade of pink.
As you can tell, I don`t own that many pink products, but slowly I`m starting to embrace the colour and that`s a step forward. Let me know if you`re a fan of pink or if you tried any of the products that I mentioned.
