I got my first MAC foundation in November and ever since it`s all I`ve been talking about. I know, you`re tired of hearing about it, that`s why I thought it was time to try something else. Everyone loves MAC products, but I still find the price for the lipsticks and eye shadows ridiculous, sorry. The base products, on the other hand, are a completely different thing and I think investing in a good foundation or concealer will do wonders for you. A few weeks ago I went to MAC for a makeup session, it was the day of the Bloggers XMAs Party, I don`t remember if I told you. I always find the staff in MAC Westfield Stratford City so nice, the girls are very helpful and chatty, without being too pushy. Anyways, if you pay for a service you also get a voucher you can redeem in store for products. A lot of beauty bloggers seem to love this concealer, so I thought I would give it a try.
I`ll spoil the review right now and tell you that I love it, it`s the best concealer I ever tried. If Rimmel Wake Me Up and Collection Lasting Perfection decide to have a baby, this is the result you get. Got you a bit confused?I`ll explain in a second. Those 2 are my favourite concealers, but one is good only for blemishes (Collection) and one is good only for dark circles (Rimmel). This, on the other hand, ticks all the boxes.
The concealer has a very creamy consistency, that it`s easy to blend, whether you use a brush or your fingers. Doesn`t matter what method you prefer, the result is still the same: a flawless matte finish that does not look cakey at all. It has quite a high coverage, so it will hide any spots or blemishes, but at the same time will brighten up your under-eye area without drying it. It does not crease or flake and several hours later it still looks like you just applied it. Most of the times I like to set it with a powder, but there were days when I skipped this part and it still looks great.
There is a minor thing that I dislike though and that`s the pump. Normally it makes things easier, but in this case, I think it dispenses too much product. Like I said, it`s a high coverage product and you only need a tiny amount, so I feel like I`m wasting a lot of it. I don`t have many spots to hide, so maybe that`s just me, but for 17.50£ I wish the pump would be easier to control.
Other than that, though, it`s a great product, totally worth the hype. Even with the pump waste, I reckon it will last me for 4-5 months and when it`s gone I`ll definitely repurchase it. If any of you tried this product let me know if you like it and if you have the same problems with the pump. If not, I always love reading your recommendations, so tell me about your Holy Grail concealer.
