This is part two of my monthly favourites, as the name would suggest it, duh! If before we talked about my favourite lifestyle bits, today it`s all about things that made me look or, at least, feel prettier. To be honest this post won`t be that exciting, as I pretty much used the same products over and over again. I know most people like to change their game and update their makeup as soon as September hits, but I`m quite lazy and I begin my Autumn makeup routine 2 weeks before winter:)) I know, I`m a lost cause!
The first thing I want to talk about is this gel nail polish from Seventeen, in Mocha. Because I work full time I want my nails to look nice for at least 5 days and not chip as soon as I sneeze. Gel nail varnishes do the trick and believe it or not, I actually went and bought a few shades myself. But the one that I reached for the most was this nude. It looks very natural and elegant and stays on for at least 5-6 days. It`s the perfect shade for those moments when you want to look put together, but don`t want to make an effort. Also, because it`s from Seventeen I think it was less than 3£, an absolute bargain.
I recently rediscovered my Heaven and Earth palette from MUA and it`s all that I`ve been using on my eyes past month. It`s such a nice mix of neutral shades, from champagne to hazelnut and dark brown. Most of them are quite glittery, but they are soft and blend effortlessly. Even without a primer, they last for such a long time, without any fall outs.I honestly don`t know how I forgot about this palette, you can create so many different looks and it has all the shades a neutral lover will love.
Not to brag or anything, but I have quite a clear skin and I`m quite happy with it. However, if I`m not careful, I get breakouts that are so bad, my face looks like a minefield. I went to bed a couple of times without removing my makeup and I ended up regretting it for weeks, as spots, pimples and blackheads decided to have a party on my face. I normally don`t apply makeup in moments like those, because I want my skin to clear on its own. However, I work in retail and did not want to give heart attacks to my customers, so I went for full coverage products. The Collection 2000 concealer was a real life saver, as it has the best coverage I ever found in a concealer. I never use this concealer for my under-eye area, as it is too dry, but on spots, it does wonders. If you want to know more about it, you can read my review here. And last but not least, I finally bought my first high-end foundation, a Studio Sculpt foundation from Mac. I want to write a full review about this, so I won`t give too many details now. So far I love it, it has a nice dewy finish, medium to full coverage and lasts for hours. A bit over my normal budget, but worth every penny.
With only 4 products I think this is the saddest and shortest beauty favourites post I ever made! But I had a babble seizure yesterday, so it`s a fine balance I guess:)) I promise I`ll make it up to you next month when I actually change my makeup routine and get new products.
