Waiter, I`ll have that Ivory foundation with a side of rosy blush and berry lipstick! Sorry, I really don`t know how to start this post! I have a clear idea what I want to say when I actually talk about the products, but the beginning baffles me. Maybe it`s because I did not have my coffee yet. Or the fact that it`s so dark outside I want to go back to sleep even though I just woke up an hour ago
(this will also explain the bad photo). I can`t really think of any stupid puns, but I`ll stop procrastinating and jump right into it! As you might have guessed I finally did it, I upgraded my makeup routine.
The main and biggest difference is that I started wearing full coverage foundations when I go out. A/W is the perfect time to do that, as it is colder and the foundation won`t melt off your face. In a recent post I reviewed Mac`s Studio Sculpt and if I were to grade it, I would give it a 9.50 out of 10. The first time I got a breakout, but now everything is fine, so it might have been hormonal.
(cause you know, Netflix and chocolate) This is described as medium to full coverage, but for me, the tiniest amount is enough to cover my whole face and hide any major blemishes. The finish is quite dewy and lasts for a long time though it can get cakey if you put too many layers.
To cover my dark circles I use No7`s Instant Radiance Concealer. This is very similar to Touche Eclat, from the formula to the packaging. The coverage is quite light, but it has a nice brightening effect and it`s gentle enough for my dry under eye area. It blends really well and I don`t have to set it with a powder, so I guess that`s a plus. When I was wearing light coverage foundations I used to apply a second concealer for my spots, but now that I use this one from Mac I don`t need to do that. Lately, I`m not really feeling the contour trend, so no bronzers or sculpting powders. However, because I`m so pale I could pass as Wednesday Addams, I can`t say no to blushers. At the moment I love this baked one from Makeup Revolution, which gives me the prettiest rosy cheeks and also has highlighting particles in it, so my face looks more radiant. I`m really into minimal makeup lately and I`m keeping it quite simple. I use Kiko`s shade 203, a gorgeous burgundy all over my lid and then I apply two coats of Benefit`s They`re Real! Mascara. I just love this, it gives me tons of volume and definition and it`s almost like I`m wearing false lashes. On my eyebrows, I use another Benefit product, their Gimme Brow fiber gel. My eyebrows are quite sparse and generally they look like shit, but this keeps them tamed for a few hours. Also, the brush is quite tiny and easy to use, which is perfect if you`re not related to Cara Delevigne.
This was quite hard to choose, as I wear a new lipstick daily. Keep in mind that this is the makeup I wear at work, so I can`t be too bold with my choices. Then again, I`m a nude lipstick kind of girl, so I wear shades like these 24/7. The one I reached out most though is Clinique`s Nude Pop, which I got with this month`s Glamour. It`s a your lips but better type of shade and what I love most about it is that it feels extremely hydrating on the lips and the creamy formula is one of the best I ever tried.
I really hope you enjoyed this post, so let me know if this is something you would like me to do on a regular basis. This is quite a minimal makeup cause it`s for work, so if you want me to post my going out makeup I`ll do that as well. Also, if you tried any of these products let me know if you liked them as much as I did.
P.S. I love reading your comments and always reply, then visit your blogs if you leave the link. Lately, I`m been working extra hours so sorry if I`ve been M.I.A. I`ll do my best to catch up with your posts. And last, don`t forget about my MAC GIVEAWAY!
