Hello everyone, today I want to share with you my thoughts on Benefit`s latest launch, They`re Real! Eyelash primer. You can get a sample exclusively with Elle if you buy this month`s magazine, which is amazing news, considering you get the product so much cheaper than in store. I think they did the same thing with Roller Lash and it was a big success because more people had access to it. Also, because it`s a sample I think we`ll all hear many honest reviews, which is what interests you when you want to buy something. I don`t want to question anyone`s integrity, but I believe that sometimes when some people get a free product or they do a sponsored post they might talk only about the positive aspects…So yeah, like I was saying because it`s a free sample everyone will talk about this primer and there will be many “real“ reviews, so cheers for that!
Before I`ll do my review, I`ll just state the obvious and say that this is definitely a luxury princess product. I for one can barely remember to use a face primer, let alone an eyelash one. And is it really necessary to use one? Well, NO, but I really enjoyed using it. I probably won`t buy the full size, but I might get another magazine for another sample.
The first thing I noticed about this primer, it`s that it`s a tinted one, which for me was a plus. I can`t really get along with the clear or God forbid, the white ones. Because it has a mink-brown colour you can use it alone or before mascara. The plastic wand is exactly like the one from the They`re Real! Mascara and it will give you lots of separation and definition.
The first day I got it I used the primer on its own, for a very natural look. It made my lashes look longer and more defined, they felt really soft and not at all crispy.
(crispy lashes- when your mascara makes your lashes really hard and they feel very fake to touch) The second time I used it when I was getting ready for the Halloween party and I teamed it with the mascara with the same name. Normally, They`re Real! Mascara gives me insanely looking lashes, almost resembling fake ones, but paired with the primer the effect was more awesome than expected. They looked a lot fuller and thicker, without any flaking. (I`ll post pictures tomorrow with my favourites)
I must say, it`s the best bloody eyelash primer I ever tried and everything it says on the packaging it`s true. It tints, primes, thickens and lengthens in a matter of seconds! But on the other hand, it`s not a necessary step in your makeup routine, so it might not be worth the price tag. It`s definitely something you need to try, so if you walk past an Elle magazine, I would advise you to get it and see for yourself if this primer it`s the next best thing.
