Hello, everyone! This week I finally moved into my new apartment, hurray for that! I`ve been crazy busy trying to arrange everything, but hopefully, by Monday everything is done. (and hopefully, they also install my internet, cause at the moment I use my mobile one) Another exciting thing that happened this week was my trip to Glasgow.
Unfortunately, in the short time I spent there, it rained all the time, so my options were quite limited. I did not get a chance to visit too many outdoor spaces because I was wet and freaking freezing. Note to self: whenever you want to complain about the weather in London, just remember that in Glasgow it`s 10 times worse. Despite that, I did have a nice time and I really enjoyed my trip. Glasgow is quite a small town (compared to London), but very charming and clean. The people I met were all lovely, very friendly and cheerful. And the food, dear Lord, the food was amazing. They have the best restaurants in the world out there!
This is probably my favourite place. It`s a small restaurant, where they serve Spanish tapas. The place looks very authentic and for a moment, you feel like you`re in Spain. I don`t know about you, but I don`t like fancy, impersonal restaurants, I prefer the small places with personality. Moving on to the food, you pay 10.95£ and you get to choose 3 tapas from a very diverse menu. I had marinated chicken, baked potatoes and mushrooms while my friend went for a very manly order: pork, beef, duck. It was the best food I ever had, I swear to God. I quote my friend: if I ever get married, it will be with whoever cooked this food, I don`t even care about their sex. Yup, true story.
The Burger Company Glasgow
I love eating and I love burgers, I`ve never been one of those girls who goes out and eats one pea, afraid I`ll get fat. This place has more than 40 original burger recipes, basically, any ingredient you can think of, they put it in there. The craziest I can think of is the one with peanut butter in it. However, I went for a more traditional recipe, with grilled chicken and bacon, but the twist was the avocado, which made everything tastier and healthier, sort of. These burgers are huge, so 7-8£ it`s a very reasonable amount. In the menu, they also had some amazing shakes, but I was too full to try them. Oh well, next time. The place reminds me of American dinners, with its tall ceiling and old movie posters. I wanted to take some photos before leaving, but my battery dies. At least, I managed to capture this beauty, to keep me company.:))
Hopefully, the next time I visit, it will be sunny and I will be able to enjoy all the beautiful architecture, in all its glory. I mean, look at this place, the City Chambers in the back look so beautiful! And Glasgow is full of buildings like that.
