A while ago I got some things on sale from KIKO and even though I was supposed to be saving money for my holiday, I could not resist these beauties. I am a sucker for eye shadows, though if you look at my collection you`ll think I multiplied my palette by 10 because everything I own is in the neutral category. These were definitely out of my comfort zone, but purple looked nice on my wedding day, so I decided to give it a go.
One thing I love about KIKO is that their packaging always looks very professional, some being close dupes for MAC. While the exterior is a bit boring, it`s safe and sturdy enough to carry it in your bag. When you open it, though, that`s when the magic starts. These have a 3D pattern and reminded me a bit of Hourglass Modernist Eyeshadow palette. You can choose from 32 shades, almost everything is included, from purples to pink, from greys to nudes. I got shades 203 Burgundy and 204 Plum, very wearable purples, with red and brown undertones.
These eye shadows can be applied wet or dry, depending on your preferences. Until now I only applied them dry, first time using a primer and then on their own. First of all, the pigmentation is insane, you need the smallest amount to work with. Although they are both glittery, they feel really creamy and blend effortlessly. Like I said, the first time I used the Benefit eyeshadow primer, but then I applied them on they own and they did not crease or have any fall outs. They lasted for a very long time, even after a night of dancing, my makeup was still in place.
I am so obsessed with these, I seriously need to go back and buy some more. When I got them they were half price, 4.40, but I would get them even if they are not reduced. Have you ever tried anything from this collection? If so, which shades do you recommend, I`m dying to know.
