Hello, everyone!Today I though I`ll show you my favourite summer foundation, which is the Match Foundation from Rimmel. As you know, Rimmel is my absolute favourite drugstore brand, they have some amazing lipsticks and mascaras and all of their face products were a win for me.
I don`t wear a lot of makeup in the summer, most of the days I let my skin breathe. I don`t do that mainly because it`s too hot and everything would melt, but it`s also beneficial for my skin because too many products can clog your pores. If I decide I want to wear makeup I always go for foundations with light to medium coverage, they look best this time of the year. I don`t know, but when it`s hot a high coverage foundation can be a bit too cakey and fake on your face. I know a lot of people prefer the Wake Me Up foundation in the summer, but for me, that`s a bit too shiny because sometimes I get very oily. This, however, it`s the tamed version of it.
The packaging is simple but still looks nice for drugstore. It comes in a little glass bottle, but more important, it comes with a pump, which saves you from messy applications. I use the shade 100 Ivory, which suits my skin perfectly. The consistency is very liquid, so I apply it with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. You can also use your fingers, but I would avoid a sponge because it will take too much product. *that`s my opinion, though, do as you wish* The coverage is light to medium and it`s definitely buildable. It will even your skin tone, hide any redness and cover minor imperfections, but still look very natural. You can use a concealer to hide any big spots or leave it as it is, after all, we were not born with perfect skin. Feels really lightweight and lasts for hours.
They say the formula it`s enhanced with Sapphire Radiance for an illuminating glow. Because of this, the finish is quite dewy, but it`s less noticeable than the Wake Me Up finish. And that`s why I prefer this because it gives a natural glow and it does not shine like a disco ball. However, if you have really oily skin, this might not work for you, because it will oxidize too fast. Definitely one for combination/normal/dry skin types.
I am curious, have you tried this foundation before? What`s your favourite foundation for the summer? Let me know in the comments below.
