Today I`ll be talking about Bourjois` Flower Perfection Translucent Smoothing Primer. A quick word before we go there: what is it with these long names? In the title they use half of the English dictionary, you don`t need a label in the back anymore, the title says it all. I know, it`s advertising, but I still find it a bit annoying…I mean, luckily I`m not vlogging, otherwise, I would stumble upon all these novel names.
Moving on to the primer, it was one of the purchases I made in order to get the Bourjois free gift. If you remember, in that post I might have said I got it only for the packaging. You all know I`m a sucker for pink and girly designs and when they also have a name that makes me think about Coachella, sold! Unlike my other primers, this comes in a little jar, which allows you to see exactly how much product you have left. I don`t know about you, but I always have a problem with plastic tubes, I just think I throw away a lot without even knowing.
The texture of this product is very silky, very similar to a balm. It just glides onto your skin, leaving it extremely smooth. In the winter silicone formulas tend to clog my pores, but I have no problem with them when it`s hot because my skin gets oilier. After I applied my face cream, I take a small amount of this primer and apply it all over my face, focusing more on my T-zone. Not only does it leave my skin feeling more smooth, but also fills in some pores. Feels very lightweight and makes your foundation last longer, but remember to use only a small amount, otherwise, it can get cakey. It has quite a light scent, which I quite like, but it might be a problem for people with sensitive skin.
As you can see, not only does this product look nice, but the quality is really good as well. However, there are some things you need to take into consideration. Because it has a silicone formula, it might break you out. I know that if I use the Porefessional or anything similar for a month non-stop, I will get some spots. These type of formulas sometimes clog your pores, you need to be aware of that. But if you use them only when you need them, then it`s fine. I really like this primer and I`ll use whenever I go out or want my makeup to last longer. It`s a nice primer, the price is decent and it will last for a very long time.
Have you tried this primer before?Do you normally use a primer or do you skip that part? Let me know in the comments below.
