In case you are wondering what happened to me, today is my first day off after a week of 10 to 9. It was a special situation, I had to work double my hours, but now it`s finally over and I can go back to my boring life. The only good part of my week is that I got paid more money and that resulted in a little shopping spree. Originally I wanted to do a haul, but I was ashamed to see how much money I spent on makeup, so I will do separate reviews. I don`t know if I separate them it`s less noticeable how bad I got carried away. The total was around 70 pounds, an amount that almost makes me faint because I always go on and on about how I am on a budget. I will definitely eat only salad for the next 3 weeks:))
Anyway, today I will show you my favourite product from the Shopping Spree Gone Wild, the No7 Perfectly Bronzed Dual Bronzer. I don`t know why, but lately, I am really into contouring and I still suck at it, but that doesn`t seem to stop me from trying out new products.
This is the most expensive bronzer I own, it was around 12 quids, but it`s still good for drugstore. My other kits from Sleek and Makeup Revolution are a lot cheaper, but I do feel that this looks like a high-end product. The packaging is simple, but I find it beautiful, and it`s sturdy enough to carry in your bag. Inside you will find a big mirror and a bronzer/highlighter duo. The inside reminded me a bit of the Charlotte Tilbury Film Star bronzer, I think the shades look quite similar. Even if I am wrong, it still looks very pretty. Last night I kept saying to my husband that I finally feel like a
rich bitch because I own a product that looks so gooood! Silly, but I haven`t been that excited about a product in a while.
The bronzer has such a nice shade, it`s not too taupe or brown. It looks quite matte, but I did find some silver particles, I don`t know if it’s supposed to be like that or it`s because I mixed it with the highlighter. The highlighter is a bit darker than the ones from my other kits, but it still looks really nice on. You can use it separately, or swirl your brush in both and go for a glowing effect. They have good pigmentation and they blend effortlessly. The result is quite subtle, buy you can build it up.
Today I gave it a good testing, a thing I normally do on my days off. I don`t know about you, but before I used to apply some products before work and I did not like the result, so I had to take it off, apply something else and it was a lot of wasted time. Now, on my days off I do the testing and see what works and what doesn`t. Like I said, I am happy with this. I used the highlighter on my brow bone, nose and cupid bow. Then I applied the bronzer on my temples and I mixed the duo on my cheekbones. I am not the next Kardashian, but it looked really nice.
I am really curious, did any of you try this before? What are your thoughts on it? Let me know in the comments.
