We`re halfway through Spring and already the bikini ready talk began. While for me that involves taking a bikini and erm, heading to beach/pool, some people take it really serious and start diets, exercise, etc. Everyone wants to look amazing, duh! But lazy people like me rely on different tricks like structured clothes, fake tan and other sorts to get bikini ready. Feel confident in your skin and do all this makeup stuff for fun.
While contouring and applying bronzer is still difficult for me, a highlighter is incredibly easy to use. You have to remember that moderation is key and that you don`t want to shine like a disco ball. You just want to put the spotlight on some parts of your face. Highlighters come in all shapes, colours and textures, so there`s plenty to choose from.
This highlighter comes in a 30 ml tube and it also provides a pump, which makes dispense a lot easier. The packaging looks quite simple but also young and fun, in my opinion. It`s also travel-friendly and it won`t occupy a lot of space in your makeup bag.
This primer has a liquid mousse like consistency and a little goes a long way. I think that if you are a beginner, this will be a lot easier to apply and you don`t need a brush either. Apply a pea size amount on your hand and then using your finger, apply where needed. At first, the colour is like a pearly nude, but it applies quite translucent. That being said, it has lots of gold shimmer in it. You have to apply only a small amount and focus on the areas you want to highlight. I normally use in on my cupid bow, top of my cheeks and arch brows. It instantly lightens my face and makes it look healthier.
While it is a lovely highlighter, I don`t agree with the 3-way statement. First of all, I think it`s ridiculous to apply it like a primer all over your face because your whole face will shine then. In the summer you can mix it with your foundation for a nice glow, so that works. But I still think it`s best if you use it simply as a highlighter.
Have you tried this highlighter before? What do you think of it? What`s your go-to highlighter in the summer? Let me know in the comments below.
