Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara

Hello guys, how are you? I think I got 5 pounds bigger since yesterday, so I`m doing well. I finished eating all my cupcakes and had enough sugar for one year, but never mind. Life is too short to count the calories. I am also having a Once Upon a Time marathon since it got uploaded on Netflix and Hook is killing it. Fangirling has its limits, though, so I took a short break for a quick post.

Now, I got this mascara with this month`s Glossybox and I was not really happy at first. I love mascaras, I must own about 15, but the last time I tried an Essence mascara ended up bad. Luckily, it was cheap, so I remained guilt free. Whenever I test a beauty product I try to keep an open mind because every brand has its holy grail products and then its shitty products. Did this mascara change my mind about the brand?

The first thing I noticed was the packaging. It looks cute and girly, but not overly childish. Actually, I find it quite elegant and it will look really nice displayed on your dressing table. The design on the wand is made of rubber, to prevent it from slipping, a detail I found cool. The second thing I noticed was the brush. Imitating a cobra, it`s very similar to Rimmel`s Scandaleyes Rockin` Curves Mascara, but on a smaller scale. Because of the shape, it captures your every lash and adds a lot of volume. Besides making your lashes bigger, this mascara will also add length and definition. The formula is not wet at all and it dries out in a few seconds. When you wear it, it feels comfortable and does not get crispy after a couple of hours.

I must say, I like this mascara a lot, for the price you pay (around 3 pounds) it does a fantastic job. Like I said, always keep an open mind when testing products. I mean, I heard a lot of good things about this brand, but what I tried was rubbish. If I stopped, I would not have found this brilliant mascara that`s less than a latte and looks so nice on my table.

Have you tried this mascara before? What other products from Essence do you recommend?

So I've never tried Essence products before– I don't even know if we have them in the US, but I have to say that I love the shape of this brush! I love curved brushes because I'm super meticulous about making sure every. single. lash. gets covered.Love it!XxMOmadame-ostrich.com

I don`t think you can find Essence in the US, it`s an european brand, but even in UK it`s hard to find. But you do have Covergirl there and I am obsessed with that brand:D

I can't wait to try this and see how I find it 🙂 I've had a mascara from them before too and wasn't a massive fan.Corinne xwww.skinnedcartree.com

From what I remember, I think we tried the same mascara. But this is so much better, give it a try!

It really looks cute. At the moment Glossybox is my favourite, in the last months I got some really cool items.

I haven't any Essence products yet as I never see them in stores, this mascara looks great but it's a shame you've found a few of their products disappointing. I noticed they had a Cinderella range though that looks amazing, especially for those who can't afford the MAC version! Roxie ♥http://thebeautifulbluebird.blogspot.co.uk/

I had no idea they have a Cinderella range, thanks for letting me know. Though I don`t think I will find it, because at Wilko they have only a few products:<
