How to look the Best at Everything with Benefit

If there is one high-end makeup brand that I like it`s Benefit. However, as much as I love their quirky packaging I can`t really justify the money (especially now that I quit my job). I am on a budget, I need to start saving money for my own house, I can find a drugstore dupe – these are all common thoughts when I pass by the Benefit stand. But they do nice gift sets that go on sale before Christmas. And they also have sets like this, which I think are a lot better – you might get travel size products, but, at least, you can try more for the price of one.

Now, in a true sense and sensibility battle, the heart won. I mean, look at it: it looks like an effing book, candy for a bookworm. I also liked the fact that unlike other Benefit products, it looks more mature and has a vintage vibe. Inside this little kit, you have everything you need for a flawless skin, some tips on how to apply your makeup and a mirror. While I do like the fact they included a mirror, I also find it pointless. I personally like to apply my makeup with the help of a big dressing table mirror, but personal preferences aside, the kit is not travel-friendly, so you can`t really use it on the go. That`s the only fault I can find with this product, I wish it was more secure, so you can carry it in your bag because like I said, it has everything you need for a flawless skin.

The first product you`ll find in the kit is the mega famous Porefessional. I find this a curse and a blessing at the same time. It was the best primer I used and all summer long my makeup looked so much better with it. But in the winter, it started to break me really bad, so I had to stop using it. I think that because it has silicone, I have to avoid it in the colder months when my skin gets really dry. But like I said, it did wonders in the summer, so I`ll re-use it then.

After you applied your primer, you use the Hellow Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation. For the last 10 days, this is what I`ve been using daily. It has an oil-free formula and an SPF 25, which kinda makes it great for summer, but it`s lightweight enough to use in the winter as well. You won`t get a lot of coverage with it, but it looks really natural and won`t clog your pores.

Sadly, the Boi-ing concealer is the only product I did not get along with. Don`t get me wrong, it provides lots of coverage, but I find the texture too thick and drying for my skin. I use only liquid concealers, anything else just looks bad and cakey on me.

The last product you`ll get it`s the Hello Flawless Powder (you also get a mini brush to apply it with and surprisingly it`s really good quality). This might be my favourite, it sets my makeup really well and airbrushes any imperfections. The texture`s silky smooth, blends really well and has the most natural finish ever.

So this is what you get inside the kit and it certainly helps you achieve a flawless skin. They might look really small, but you don`t really need a lot anyway. If you want to try some Benefit products, but you don`t want to splurge, then I seriously recommend you try one of these kits. You can test more products and see if it`s worth investing or you can get another one and so on and try the entire Benefit line.

I've been on the prowl for a good powder. I've never really used it before and I feel like I've been hearing more and more people talk about it lately in the beauty world. Have you tried any other ones? How does the Benefit one compare?

It is really good, but at the same time you can find really good ones from Rimmel or Seventeen. But if you want a high-end one, then I recommend it, looks very natural and feels really light.
