Sleek Contour Kit

You know that picture on the internet when the brain looks at the heart and says: You idiot!?! My brain had the same reaction when I decided to buy the Sleek Face Contour Kit and for good reasons. Do I need more makeup? No. Will I learn how to properly contour? Probably not. Do I need to start saving more money? Definitely yes. But then again, I am young, I should enjoy these years and I work way too much to refuse a little indulgence every now and then. I am however quite happy to say that my addiction to clothes/shoes and bags shifted towards makeup, which is quite a good thing considering they`re cheaper, as I am a drugstore junkie.

I`ll start this review by stating that Sleek has some really sleek packaging. (kill me now for stupid puns) This little black case is quite sturdy and compact and it`s strong enough to carry it in your bag without having to worry if it will break. It also came with some very useful tips on how to contour and instead of a general look, it focused on all areas, a great thing if you are a beginner and need some help.

Inside the kit, you will find two colours, a dark brown for contouring and a light shimmery pink for highlighting. The kit also comes with an inside mirror, which again, makes it perfect for travelling. I have to admit when I looked inside I thought I picked the wrong shade, even though it said light. But the contour colour looked so dark, I was afraid I will look like I lost a fight with chocolate. However, after you blend it, it looks very natural and it gives you the perfect sun-kissed look. I love the fact that it looks very neutral, not too orange, yellow or brown, and with a good blend, you can adapt it to your skin tone. It`s the same with the highlighter, even though it looks very shimmery, the result is very natural, giving you a healthy glow. Some say that the colour payoff is not the same with the highlighter, but I think this is subjective. I prefer natural looks, but for someone who is going for the Kim K. look, this will be a bit disappointing (though again, you can build the colour, for a more dramatic effect).

Sleek is a brand well known for their pigmented colours and buttery soft formulas and this kit is no exception. Both colours are very easy to apply and blend and they also last for hours. I am no expert, but from pictures, the contouring colour is very similar to Nars Laguna Bronzer. I don`t know if the formula is the same, but at less than 7 pounds, this kit is an absolute bargain.

I love Sleek, their products are very good quality for the price. I really wanna try their blushes but this contouring kit looks great, the bronzer looks like the perfect colour for me!

I think the Face Form kit contains the bronzer, highlighter and also a blusher, you might give that one a try.

They have some really cool eye shadows palettes, really pigmented and long lasting. Though everything they sell is top quality.
