Recently I decided to be more adventurous with my makeup and learn the tricks of contouring, mastering the perfect smokey eye, etc. During my impulsive buying moments, I managed to achieve a surprisingly big collection of eyeliners and sadly all of them get stashed in a drawer because I am the clumsiest person ever. But my resolution for next year( I started mine earlier) is to actually use ALL my beauty products, so I decided to test all of them and see which one is the easiest to use. After 2 hours, the winner is Supercat from Soap and Glory and even though I am terrible at this, this one gives me hope: that one day my line won`t look like a drunk dude draw it.
On the website the description sounds like this:
,, Featuring our unique INKJET™ colour release & Gloss–Fix™ finish to give a rich and intense colour. The foolproof marker tip creates two looks – Fine point for a natural look or thick edge adds a dramatic flash! Uses long lasting, long wear pigments plus a high percentage of carbon black for intense colour release.“
This is a very cute pen eyeliner and the shape of it makes it super easy to use. It just glides on smoothly into a thin and precise black line, but if you want a more dramatic effect you can thicken it up. The formula is great, not too watery, not too dry. Basically, although it is wet when you apply it, it dries quite fast, so you don`t have to worry about being runny. Another thing that I absolutely love is the colour, such an intense black! The line stays put all day, so even if you have oily eyelids it won`t bleed at all.
This is quite a short and stupid review, but it`s my first eyeliner (that I am using for more than once), so I don`t know what to expect and I also don`t have anything else to compare it with. Mostly I just wanted to share my enthusiasm, that I finally found an eyeliner I can work with and hopefully in one or two months I can say I mastered the cat flick. Again, this was part of a gift set, but I saw the original packaging in Boots and is stunning. It has that Soap&Glory charm, with its vintage design, bright pink and pin-up girls. I think the price is fantastic, at 6 pounds, but again, I don`t know what`s the general price for eyeliner. The only one I was familiar with was the one from Benefit, but it seemed way too pricey and bulky for me. So yeah, if like me, you are new to this thing, then this is the best eyeliner for you. It`s very easy to apply, has a fantastic black colour and stays put for hours.
