Ren Invisible Pores Detox Mask

One of my favourite days is Sunday, when I finish work earlier and rush home for a weekly pamper: hair/face mask, mani, pedi, you name it. I love trying different masks and comparing the results, it`s probably my favourite beauty ritual if you can call it so. Masks are fun and most of the time I experiment with the cheap ones you find for 1 pound. Although they are great, I decided it`s time to look for a staple mask, one that I`ll use regularly, so my skin gets used to it. I am a big fan of Ren`s hot cloth cleanser, so I decided to give their mask range a try and boy I`m glad I did that. This is by far my favourite mask…actually, at the moment, it`s my favourite skincare product. (let’s start a drinking game for every time I`ll write the word favourite in this post, we`ll have a comatose)

The packaging is quite simple, surprisingly not fancy for a high-end brand. I love the fact that it has a small pump, it keeps things hygienic and reduces waste. I normally use 2 pumps: 1 for my T-zone and 1 for my cheekbones. However, they are small ones, as you don`t have to use a lot of product. The formula is similar to any clay mask, though when it gets dry it doesn`t feel as tight as other clay masks usually feel. The application is super easy, you just massage it into your skin and then wait for 10 minutes until it dries. Then I wash my face with warm water and just to be sure no residues are left, I wipe my face with a muslin cloth. I don`t know how many of you remove it like this, but this works best for my skin and pores.

On the website, this product is described as a ,, detoxifying clay mask designed to reduce the appearance of pore size and leave the skin purified, smooth and toned“. Dear Lord, they were not lying! I can`t believe how many impurities this draws out – you think you`re doing a good job cleaning your face, but your mask will disagree. My skin is quite weird, oily on my T-zone, dry around my cheeks and sensitive around the eyes, so combination products work the best for me. I love the fact that it does not dry my skin, even though it help reduce the excess of sebum. Every time I wipe it, I`m surprised to see how smooth my skin feels – baby butts don`t have a thing on me:)) I know a lot of you are wondering if it minimises your pores and the answer is yes and no. Although it will reduce them, they won`t disappear completely. But to be honest, I don`t know if a product will ever do that, so I`m happy with what I get.

In conclusion, this is a fabulous mask, probably the best I tried. It is a bit pricey, though, so that is a letdown. I use other masks as well, so I don`t rely on it completely, but if I had to buy every few months I would not be happy about it. But I guess you have to invest if you want good skincare products.
