Clinique Superbalm Lip Treatment Review

I have finally found an expensive product that I believe it`s worth the money. Hurray for this great achievement! On a more serious note: you know I strongly believe you can have amazing results with drugstore products, that have very friendly prices. Not all expensive brands are worth the hype! Knowing me (at least from what you read) you might be surprised why I bought this one. I told you in a previous post that Boots was having an offer for Clinique products. For two products (one skincare) you got a lovely tin full of goodies worth 47 pounds. So I got a toner (the first one that doesn`t feel itchy) and this life saviour.

I don`t know why, but I always have cracked lips. I believe this has something to do with the fact that I don`t drink enough water; other explanation I can`t find. But I invested a lot of money in lip balms ( usually 3-4 pounds the product, but I have ten of them, so I didn`t save anything in the end)  and the results were not that impressive. Don`t get me wrong, they are good, but the results don`t last.

I usually team this little wonder with my Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub. At night, after I removed all the makeup, I scrub my lips, then apply a generous amount of this superbalm. I actually think you need only a small amount of product, but I just love how nice it feels after the scrub. I don`t apply it in the morning because it has the consistency and finish of a gloss and it will ruin my lipstick. But it`s a great alternative for a shiny lipgloss, so some people might use it like this. From the first days of using this product, I started seeing great results. Even my husband asked me what I did, because I finally have smooth kissable lips (such a charmer, I know:)) ) I don`t know exactly what`s the miracle ingredient, but it will definitely leave your lips feeling soft and hydrated. As all Clinique products, it`s 100% fragrance free and allergy tested.

At 13 pounds, this product is not in my comfort zone. But I saw the results, so it deserves every penny. That tube of 7 ml seems small, but it will last for at least 2-3 month because a little goes a long way with this one.

P.S. You remember how much I love the eye cream I got in the gift box, right? I start to suspect that Clinique will be the first brand to convert me to more expensive skincare…But I guess you don`t have to invest that often, no? And I also have lots of points on my advantage card, so all is good.
