February favourites: Part Two

This is my second post dedicated to February favourites and it focuses on so many things, from movies to recipes. Although it won`t be that long, I decided to show you some things I loved last month, so you can get to know me better. ( I will definitely write a 25 facts about me post) Here we go:

A Song of Ice and Fire Series by George R.R. Martin

If I suddenly disappear, it`s because I`m so hooked on these books. If you are not a fan of reading, these books will change your perspective. You have fantasy, action, drama, love: you will find all major themes in here. Now, I don`t know about you, but for me, both the novels and the TV show are a masterpiece. However, when you read the books you get more details and awesome facts, so, in this case, the book is better. But on the TV Show, you have so many talented actors that make the story so much more vivid…Like salt and pepper, you need these two together. Also, I`m one of those people that love spoilers, so now that I know what to expect from season 4, the experience will be far better. Valar Morghulis!

Indian Cuisine

I always go to charity shops for a good book bargain. Two weeks ago I bought from Cancer Research this book with more than 100 Indian recipes. Most of them are easy to make and they taste absolutely divine. The recipes are divided into 6 sections: chicken, meat, fish and seafood, vegetables and legumes, snacks and accompaniments, desserts and drinks. As you can see, there`s something for everyone. I am a big fan of Indian food, you have so many great flavours, so I`m glad I picked this up. Until now, I only cooked the chicken tikka masala and prawns in coconut milk, but I can`t wait to try more!

House of Cards

I am not sure how many of you know this, but my major in college was politics. So whenever I see a movie or a TV show with a political theme, my heart skips a bit. (yeah, I`m weird like that) I wanted to give this TV show a try for quite a while, but I didn`t have the time. However, last Sunday I watched the first two episodes from season one and I loved them. You have a great story and Kevin Spacey does a spectacular job, this role fits like a glove. I hope the trailer will make you curious, it`s such a good TV show.

The Hunger Games: Catching fire Soundtrack

I have this soundtrack on repeat, you have so many great artists here. In fact, some of my favourite bands are reunited on this soundtrack. I always get goosebumps when I listen to these songs…To be honest, you can`t explain pure awesomeness, so it`s best to go and listen to them.  Here I have selected my top 3, but maybe yours will be different.

There you have it, some of the things I loved in February. Have a great day!
