Muddy Waters was an American blues artist widely considered to be one of the most important figures in post–World War II Chicago blues. He popularized several early Delta blues songs, such as "Rollin' and Tumblin'", Walkin' Blues", and "Baby, Please Don't Go", and recorded songs that went on to become blues standards, including "Hoochie Coochie Man", "Mannish Boy", and "Got My Mojo Working".

After the Rain is the sixth studio album by Muddy Waters, a follow-up to the previous years' Electric Mud and sharing many of the musicians from that album. Unlike Electric Mud, After the Rain contained mostly his own compositions and the songs, while still distorted, are less overtly psychedelic. On September 13, 2011, Get On Down Records digitally remastered and reissued the album on compact disc and vinyl.

American blues musician and considered by many to be a founder of the modern Chicago Blues style. A powerful inspiration in the emergence of the electric blues oriented groups in the UK during the 60s. On Morganfield's marriage license & musician's Union Card he indicates the year of his birth as 1913. His place of birth was, in fact, in Issaquena County near Rolling Fork. However, his gravestone remains dated as 1915. As with much of the blues genre, innuendo played an important role in lyrical interpretation

Many of the sounds you work with in your mix have energy in this area. If you don’t pay attention to carving out space in the low mids, you’ll end up with muddy, indistinct lows. Decide which sources will occupy this space and clear things out in the other tracks to make space. 5. Keep good headroom. Nobody wants a muddy sounding track. Muddy mixes are flat, unprofessional and won’t do your songs justice. Luckily, It’s easy to avoid muddiness if you know the causes and how to fix them.
