Thanks I'll Eat It Here is the title of the only solo album by rock and roll singer-songwriter Lowell George. While George is best known for his work with Little Feat, by 1977 Lowell felt that they were moving increasingly into jazz-rock, a form in which he felt little interest. As a result, he began working on his own album.
Thanks, I'll Eat It Here. For example, in jazz fusion Bandleader-composer Miles Davis album Bitches Brew, producers like Phil Spector and George Martin were soon creating recordings that were, in practical terms, almost impossible to realise in live performance. Producers became creative figures in the studio, other examples of such engineers includes Joe Meek, Teo Macero, Brian Wilson, and Biddu.
Lowell George - thanks I'll eat it here (1979) Warner Bros (K56487) Favourite Track: Two Trains Picked this up today, had it on CD but have always fancied a vinyl copy because it's just so damn good. A proper underrated classic. Today in music history. 40 years ago to be exact. Lowell George released his first and only solo album right before his death. With guest features by Bonnie Rait, as well as some hard hitting session players this album is a little slice of sunshine on an otherwise dreary day. Give this one a spin today to make those grey skies blue.

Bow Wow Wow’s second full length album immediately sparked controversy due to Annabella Lwin’s lack of appropriate picnic attire. Mom made a fuss, and who can blame her: the singer was only fifteen years old at the time. The album art was replaced with a much tamer photo: The irony, if one can call it that, is that the original cover is a parody of Manet’s Dejeuner sur l’Herbe, which to my knowledge remains unaltered. The other kind of funny thing about this particular controversy is that the original album cover art was used the following year on Bow Wow Wow’s Last of the Mohicans . .
