Jean-François Heisser (born 7 December 1950) is a French classical pianist. Born in Saint-Étienne, Heisser studied piano first with Paul Simonnar in Saint-Étienne, then at the Conservatoire de Paris with Vlado Perlemuter. His vast repertoire ranges from romantic music (Brahms, Chopin, Schumann, Schubert, Mendelssohn) to contemporary music (Boulez, Stockhausen, Gilbert Amy, Berio).

Miles Davis Volume 1 refers to two separate but related entities. The title was originally used for the first in a pair of compilation albums of recordings made by Miles Davis in 1952, 1953 and 1954, released in 1956 (and reissued many times) as BLP 1501 on the Blue Note Records label.

Two years later, he went to the United States to give a recital in New-York. From that moment Regis Pasquier entered the very exclusive circle of great violinists of world fame. He has performed with the greatest orchestras in Japan, Europe, Canada,South America and particularly in the United States with the Cleveland Philharmonic conducted by the eminent Georges Szell. He is also a noted chamber musician.

Born in Fontainebleau, Régis Pasquier was a student of Zino Francescatti, with whom he latter recorded the Concerto for Two Violins by . In 1958, he won the First Prizes in violin and chamber music at the Conservatoire de Paris. From 1977 to 1986, he was principal violin of the Orchestre National de France.
