The Bitter End" is a song by British alternative rock band Placebo. It was released as the lead single from their fourth studio album, Sleeping with Ghosts (2003), on 10 March 2003. The song is based on the novel Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell. There are several references to it throughout the song, one of the most noticeable being the reference to 2 May - the date on which the two main characters, Winston and Julia, first spend the night together.

BMG Special Products 2002 release of the Tommy James & the Shondells' collection titled All Their Best is indeed a collection of almost all of Tommy James' best songs. Unfortunately, the songs have either been re-recorded in what sounds like the 1990's, or taken from live shows from around that same time. James sounds pretty good considering how long it has been since these songs were hits, but the music is just plain bad. It is sterile and boring, two things that the Shondells (or the session musicians who played on the records) never were.

Good sound and great live music. for such a small venue. The provenance was awesome, wall art edgy and historical. The two drink per person minimum to have a seat at a table is a bit hostile, but understandable, I guess. Fun place that took me back to the time of talented rock n roll musicians. Spendid music Loved the grove. Monday Night 09/17 At The Bitter End. The Bitter End · New York, NY, United States.
