Kids See Ghosts (stylized in all-caps) is the eponymous debut studio album by American hip hop duo Kids See Ghosts, composed of Kanye West and Kid Cudi. It was released on June 8, 2018, by GOOD Music and Def Jam Recordings. Prior to the album, West and Cudi enjoyed a strong relationship as close friends and musical allies since meeting in 2008, and expressed a desire to record a collaborative album

KIDS SEE GHOSTS is the eponymous debut studio album by hip-hop ‘super-duo’ KIDS SEE GHOSTS, which consists of Kanye West and Kid Cudi. This is the third album in a series of five albums entirely produced by Kanye, following Pusha-T’s DAYTONA and Kanye’s solo album ye. It was succeeded by Nas‘ NASIR and Teyana Taylor’s . Similar to the release of ye the week prior, KIDS SEE GHOSTS was premiered at a listening party and livestreamed via the WAV app. The listening party was held at a ghost town

Kids See Ghosts may be the very song Sheppard witnessed, and the results of the work alluded to by Kweli. On the album’s namesake track, Cudi is introspective while Kanye addresses the expectations and pressures that come with fame, as well as his attitude toward his competition and possibly the media. This is also not the first time Kanye has tried to tap into the youth and made reference to kids interacting with spirits, having noticeably rapped about this on Dark Fantasy

Kids See Ghosts will go down as a minor release in West’s canon, and this oddball odyssey to Wyoming won’t be remembered as one of his best eras. Yet the album does something he needed. It reasserts him as a fun, thrilling rap music-maker that tests the genre’s boundaries. Kids See Ghosts is a fitting name for both the duo and the album title. Kanye and Cudi are no strangers to their own inner demons, they are now at a stage of life where they are admitting to their flaws and are working on being free. Cudi has recently been battling depression and has spent time in therapy, seeking to be ‘reborn’ and work on inner peace.

Kids See Ghosts is a 2018 album released by rap duo Kids See Ghosts which consists of Kanye West and Kid Cudi. The album consists of seven tracks and is 23:53 minutes long. Feel the Love ft. Pusha T. Fire. 4th Dimension ft. Louis Prima. Kids See Ghosts ft. Mos Def. Cudi Montage. There are not bad songs. Kanye and Cudi have great chemistry. Not only that but they reach their full potential.

While Kids See Ghosts feels more like a Cudi album than a Kanye one, it is a production showcase for both. The seven-song affair leaves you greedy for more when it’s over in a mere 23 minutes.

On Kids See Ghosts, the mess at least feels more purposeful, and the songs are the most intriguing ones to emerge from this Wyoming project thus far. Since 2013’s Yeezus, West has been testing the line between daringly raw and unfinished, but on Kids See Ghosts, he vigorously erases i. This is an album about brokenness-thoughts fragmented, relationships ended, societal ties cut. Reborn is the most unhurried and atmospheric music of this chaotic cycle, a long spacious breath of a drum track that opens onto one of West’s best verses in years.

Kids See Ghosts is another seven-track effort recorded alongside a handful of others during West's so-called Wyoming Sessions. Following the arrivals of Pusha T's Daytona and West's Ye, Kids See Ghosts not only emerges atop the Wyoming Sessions ranks, but also as a top release in either artist's respective catalogs. Fully-realized and lushly layered, KSG is the culmination of a long and fruitful relationship between West and Cudi, one that peaked on 2008's emo-rap progenitor 808s & Heartbreak and continued over a decade.
