Cluster II is the second full-length album by German electronic music act Cluster, released in 1972 by record label Brain. Cluster II was recorded at Star-Studio in Hamburg, Germany in January 1972.
This period of Rush’s history finds the band gaining acceptance from a wider audience with songs like Tom Sawyer, Closer to the Heart, and The Spirit of Radio while still managing to push its sound into increasingly progressive territories with more complex arrangements, new styles of music, and a wider range of instruments.
