Released as a semi stopgap collection in mid-2001 during a period of general Porcupine Tree inactivity, outside of some concert appearances here and there, Recordings compiles the various B-sides and extra tracks from singles taken from Stupid Dream and Lightbulb Sun, adding a couple of unreleased goodies as well.

It's an acquired taste. Quality is only dvd, so its watchable. Lasse puts video effects which have bugged loads of people but I don't mind. Black and white, grainy quality in between randomly, stuff like that. But dude its worth it, the setlist is amazing and the sound quality as well!

Dried up, a guitar upon my knee I should have sold out when the devil came for me Dig a hole and throw it out to sea Break the code, how happy I could be. I still wave at the dots on the shore And I still beat my head against the door I still rage and wage my little war I'm a shade and easy to ignore.

Porcupine Tree has set a standard that few, if any, can reach it seems. As I expected, "Recordings" did not disappoint. This is classic greatness ahead of it's time. s various works because of the passionate vocal dynamic and musical mastery . brings with every effort, every album. Recordings" is as dark, lyrically, as anything they've done I imagine

My copy was absolutely coated in fine paper 'dust' fresh out of it's shrink-wrap - weird, normally these K-scope releases are better than that. I didn't seem to have any issues with tight inner sleeves as others have mentioned though. Fantastic album too! - even more so considering this is a collection of outtakes and b-sides!

I've also only just noticed that both inner sleeves are for the second record!! - how annoying!

The first run of these had incredibly tight inner sleeves. Was this ever resolved?

I got my copy last April. Tight inner sleeves! Had to re-house the records in Mo-Fi sleeves.

I just got a copy from Germany and while the inner sleeves are thick paper, they don't cause me any problems sliding in.

I recently got a copy that had tight inner sleeves, however I was under the impression this was a single, limited to 2000 release. To my knowledge there has not been a second pressing, official or otherwise.
