but I'm not sending it back. In 1991, the Analogue Bubblebath series began. This was where AFX started, before losing nearly all sense of sanity in Hangable Auto Bulb and regaining it to an almost drowsying extent on the Analord series. It was back when the differences between Aphex and AFX were easier to grasp. The first 2 EPs in the series had 3 strong experimental techno tracks, which were duplicated on the first two Aphex EPs and resurfaced later on the Aphex Classics compilation.
Analogue Bubblebath Vol 3 is the third EP by electronic musician Richard D. James, under the pseudonym of AFX, released 1 February 1993, on Rephlex Records. It was originally released on CD and 12" vinyl formats and re-released on CD in 1997 with additional tracks, and once again on vinyl in 2002. Analogue Bubblebath Vol 3. Track 11 sounds like it should have been on Selected Ambient Works Vol. 2, and 12 is a minute of what sounds like rain and a man hyperventilating.

NotesThis is the second issue. It is very similar to the original release, with the same disc, but in this edition, the disc is in a clear slimline case, and the sticker is on the front of the case, rather than on the bubble-wrap envelope sleeve. The bubble-wrap envelope sleeve is slightly larger than the original. As on the original, the sticker uses black ink only, has bubbles in the artwork, mentions "66% more bubbles", and contains the only text on the entire release; no track titles are listed, and the CD is entirely blank (aside from the matrix codes). There may be a "MADE IN ENGLAND" sticker on the back of the case, for export.
Very similar editions:
• original release with the exact same CD, but loose (no slim case), and the sticker is on the bubble wrap.
• 1997 reissue made by Key Production or by Technicolor (as indicated by matrix data). These came in a slimline jewel case with new, two-color stickers (black and blue ink) on both front and back, and the back sticker has a barcode.
• 2002 reissue containing the 1997 Technicolor CD, but with stickers added by Caroline Records to give it a different barcode and Category for the US market.
