Mr Men songs still evoke wonderful carefree memories of childhood. I swallowed something jagged after I promised my 5 year old son that I would find a Mr Men cd containing all his favourite songs. I am still a hero to my boy and the lovely songs make my wife and I smile at childhood memories. I am so pleased with the Mr Men cd; it was a family favourite years ago and now my grandsons are enjoying it hugely. The quality is better than the original, and I am confident it will last.

Inspiration struck and so Mr. Tickle was born! Mr. Tickle would become the first in the series of ‘Mr. Men’ books going on to sell a million copies sold within the first 3 years. A number of the books were brought to life on the small screen, first broadcast by the BBC and narrated by Dad’s army actor Arthur Lowe. Roger’s comic strips were to be published by The Mirror newspaper and the Daily Mail over the next couple of years. The Mr. Men had their first foray into the pop charts with ‘Mr. Men Songs’, released on BBC records.
Arthur Lowe reads these much-loved Mr Men stories, from the original BBC TV series, presented with original album sleeve notes. What made the experience of listening to Mr Men Stories Volume 2 (Vintage Beeb) the most enjoyable? What's not to love about the Mr Men stories. My children struggle to settle to sleep in the evenings so we listen to stories of their favourite books. Sometimes they read along (little one) and sometimes they just listen and relax. They love these stories. What does Arthur Lowe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book? Exactly as hoped and expected. Mr Messy is messy by name and messy by nature - until he meets Mr Neat and Mr Tidy! Mr Snow is magically brought to life by Santa at Christmas - and helps deliver the presents. Mr Daydream takes a daydreaming boy on an amazing adventure. Mr Men Stories Volume 2 (Vintage Beeb). By: Roger Hargreaves. Narrated by: Arthur Lowe.

If there's one thing I learned growing up in the 70s and 80s, it's that Mr Beaver sounds like Arthur Lowe and not Ray Winstone. Is Zane Lowe related to Arthur Lowe? - - JLF.
