Hey Jude is the ninth studio album by soul singer Wilson Pickett, recorded at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama and released in 1969. The title track, a cover of The Beatles song of the same name, was a success, peaking at on the Billboard R&B singles chart and on the top 200. Also released as a single was a cover of Steppenwolf's "Born to Be Wild", which was less successful

Wilson Pickett and the Muscle Shoals session crew with whom he cut most of his best work thankfully had the good sense to not try to go psychedelic when the pop charts went all day-glo in the late 1960's, but that's not to say they didn't make an effort to change with the times  .

Wilson Pickett – Adrenaline is the debut studio album by American alternative metal band Deftones, released in 1995 by Maverick Records. A hidden track on the album, Fist, was produced by Ross Robinson, regarding the recording, drummer Abe Cunningham said, At the time we did the first record – which I really like and think is good – you can tell the band was really young. Duane Allman, later of the Allman Brothers Band, once pitched a tent and he soon befriended Rick Hall and Wilson Pickett, who was recording there. While on lunch break, Allman taught Pickett Hey Jude, their version of the song was recorded in 1968. On hearing the session, people at Atlantic began asking who had played the guitar solos, shortly afterward, Allman was offered a recording contract, auditions for the Allman Brothers Band were later held at FAME Studios.
