Amistad – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Dreamworks Records), will be launched on December 9, 1997, was written, directed and produced by Williams. In the notes for the disc, Spielberg said: John never failed to surprise me, rise or make me look good. What may surprise listeners, Williams notes, was the opportunity for vocal music in this project. The score for Amistad is still vastly instrumental, but vocal performances are more important, frequent and efficient than has been the biggest part of my work for cinema.

Album · 1994 · 17 Songs. The Dark Knight Rises (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack).

John Williams kicks the album off with one of his best new themes in years, and Powell takes over from there, using it beautifully over the rest of the soundtrack. I've been a longtime fan of his, and was very, very pleased to hear Ron Howard had brought him aboard for this fantastic movie. The one that will be talked about most no doubt is "Reminiscence Therapy," Powell's rip-roaring tribute to the best action cues of Williams' original trilogy score. Hearing "Asteroid Field" in there was about the greatest thing ever, and executed perfectly on film

On the soundtrack to Solo: A Star Wars Story, John Powell became just the third person to compose a score for a live-action Star Wars film, following in the footsteps of John Williams and Rogue One's Michael Giacchino. After Williams puts his trademark stamp on the project with a lone contribution ("The Adventures of Han"), Powell launches into hyperspace, adapting Williams' familiar leitmotifs ("Meet Han," "L3 & Millennium Falcon," "Break Out," "Reminiscence Therapy," "Into the Maw," and "Dice & Roll") and injecting each composition with flair.

Jurassic Park: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the film score to the 1993 Steven Spielberg film of the same name, composed and conducted by John Williams. John Neufeld orchestrated most of the cues, while Alexander Courage entirely orchestrated three and Conrad Pope partially orchestrated two others. MCA Records released a soundtrack album for the film on May 20, 1993
