Bob Dylan is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, released on March 19, 1962 by Columbia Records. Produced by Columbia's legendary talent scout John H. Hammond, who signed Dylan to the label, the album features folk standards, plus two original compositions, "Talkin' New York" and "Song to Woody".

With his band, Dylan explored his rich legacy of work in a career-spanning set, which featured delicately adapted versions of classics such as Simple Twist of Fate and Tangled Up In Blue sitting alongside works from his latest album, 2012′s Tempest. Fifty years after making his debut at the Royal Albert Hall, Bob Dylan returned to play five sold out nights following the release of his chart-topping 2015 album Shadows in the Night (a collection of covers of pop standards made famous by Frank Sinatra). Performing a new set, new arrangements, and new sound, Dylan’s extraordinary ability to regularly re-invent himself was proved yet again, and the audience loved it.

The Real Royal Albert Hall 1966 Concert. But no more: Live 1966: The "Royal Albert Hall" Concert has surfaced on two discs mixed and mastered from three-track source tapes that put the myriad pirated recordings to shame. More important, Live 1966 documents a momentous artistic showdown between a willful, inflamed, and utterly fearless performer and his headstrong core following. The only ones I don't have is Self Portrait, (which I won't get because Bob did this album just to get rid of his fans & he hardly wrote any songs in it) and Knocked Out Loaded and Under the Red Sky (maybe a little later I'll get these last two) and maybe a couple of live ones I still. Now I want to look up and listen and honor Bruce Hornsby a little.

The Royal Albert Hall is the kind of venue where history is made. The Beatles and the Rollings Stones played a double bill here, legendary performances have been given from Pink Floyd to Frank Sinatra, Led Zep to Bob Dylan. Or Muhammed Ali in the ring. Now think of a band who live to perform live. Beyond Jason Swinscoe's scintillating recordings the Cinematic Orchestra's ability to reinvent their material in the live arena has always made them stand out from their peers.
