Yokota – Psychic Dance. Label: Harthouse Digital – HH D 005-4. Format: 10 File, MP3, Album, 320 kbps. Yokota came back to Harthouse one last time with this album, which is probably his last dancefloor-oriented work. Here, Susumu makes his own interpretation of the tech house and minimal scene that was all the rage back in the late 2000s. While it doesn't reach the heights of his 90's releases on the label, it does has his unique japanese touch.

Sakura is a full-length album from electronic artist Susumu Yokota, released in 1999 in Japan on Skintone (STR03) and on 11 September 2000 in the United Kingdom on The Leaf Label (BAY13). It was named as the top electronic release of the year 2000 by The Wire. Some tracks sample elements of Harold Budd's album "The Pavilion of Dreams".
Zero, the last in a series that includes previous albums 1998 and 1999, sums up Yokota’s long affair with dance music. This is my 10th anniversary as a dance artist and I guess that and the new millennium signal a new start for me, and so I included this notion in the album’s name, said Yokota in a recent interview. It is a sort of final chapter for me after a decade of making dance music and DJing.
His album Unknown Possibility Vol. 1 is a testament to his previously hard and aggressive style of production. Still reduced to a few key elements, it definitely strays from the idea of listening music. This is a collection of tracks created for the dance floor. It was released as the debut album of both Tanaka and his label, Torema Records, in 1997. He’s definitely come a long way, but his productions have been timeless since their inception. Ken Ishii, Jelly Tones (R&S Records 1995). Frankfurt meets Tokyo on this early 1990s album by the late ambient and techno master Susumu Yokota. On The Frankfurt-Tokyo Connection, feverish acid modulations collide with majestically trance-inducing synth leads. In a time when early ’90s trance is being rediscovered by a new generation of DJs and ravers, The Frankfurt-Tokyo Connection is one of those albums that sounds pretty fresh again twenty-plus years later.
