Shake The Walls is the third full-length album from British rocker Marcus Bonfanti. The record is an eclectic melting pot of all things bluesy, country and rock and judging from the terrific sound, will hopefully help the hard travelling, guitar virtuoso and his band of wandering minstrels surpass the recognition they have already received, transcending the small gig circuit into the realms of Rock and Roll fame. Opener Alley Cat is the perfect way to kick off Bonfanti’s coming of age album as the song effortlessly manages to embody the record’s very title.
Had never heard of MB until I tuned into Paul Jones's radio programme on BBC 2 and he played a track from "Shake the Walls". I thought it was so good that it was worth investing in the cost of this album to hear the rest - and I haven't been disappointed. Every track is worth listening to and I really rate MB. Not sure why he isn't a bigger name - or perhaps its just me.

Marcus Bonfanti's latest is an entertaining set of country-blues and rockier styles that could bring him big success, writes Robin Denselow. Marcus Bonfanti is an impressive young British blues guitarist who can handle pretty much anything. His last album, What Good Am I to You?, included acoustic folk-blues, country blues and stomping electric styles that echoed his hero Jimmy Page. And it's the latter approach that dominates 10 of the 11 tracks on this album, which sound like a contemporary answer to the classic British blues-rock of the 1960s and 70s, especially as it's an analogue recording
