Bloody Well Right" is a song by the progressive rock band Supertramp from their 1974 album Crime of the Century. It appeared as the B-side of the single "Dreamer" in 1974. Listeners in the United States preferred it to the A-side, and "Bloody Well Right" became their breakthrough hit in the country, peaking at number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100. It would remain the band's signature song in the .
So you think your schooling's phony I guess it's hard not to agree You say it all depends on money And who is in your family tree.
Right, (Right), you're bloody well right You got a bloody right to say Right, you're bloody well right You know you got a right to say Ha-ha you're bloody well right You know you're right to say Yeah, yeah, you're bloody well right You know you're right to say Me, I don't. Write your problems down in detail Take them to a higher place You've had your cry, no, I shouldn't say wail In the meantime hush your face. While only the B-side for Supertramp' big hit Dreamer, it nevertheless became much loved and a staple at future appearances of the band, or fractions of it. From their much acclaimed 1974 album Crime of the Century, the song follows the first track School and reinforces its message of the phoniness of school and education at the time, and many would argue, now. Complete your Supertramp collection. I think the 1980 releases should be separated into one separate master release, as these are live versions from the album "Paris", not studio versions from the album "Crime of the Century", with different B sides. Reply Notify me Helpful.
Bloody Well Right" is better as a song. A song composed by Rick Davies and influenced a lot by Blues music, also played using the Wurlitzer electric piano, an instrument which was very related to the sound of the band. But this song also has some very good lead guitar parts played by Hodgson. This is a typical single, both tracks taken from the album and representing its more hit-oriented material. Roger Hodgson's 'Dreamer' is a charming and very energetic song in a fast tempo, with a slower mid-section featuring also Rick Davies' vocals in a dialogue-like manner. The electric piano sound that colours the whole Crime of the Century is extremely dominating on this one. Rick Davies composed the more bluesy 'Bloody Well Right' which I don't enjoy as much; it's the heavy repetition of the boring chorus that annoys me a bit.
