Blogmas Day 2: A cheeky beauty haul

I`ve been bad. Well, technically I`ve been good for two months, as I haven`t really spend a lot of money on makeup and clothes. So my finances have been surprisingly good. And then Black Friday came. And I got carried away and I bought a new coat, a few jumpers and some jeans. And then I realised that even though I own 40 pairs of shoes, I need new ones to go with my coat. And possibly a bag. And hey, New Look has 25% off everything so think about all the money you`ll be saving. Then again, you did get some bargains, so why not treat yourself to some nice makeup bits?

For a while, I felt bad about it, but then I realised that I work a lot and sometimes I should enjoy myself. I get consumerism and I get minimalism. And I`m somewhere in the middle. I know that there`s a ton of crap I don`t really need (and that I probably won`t buy). But I`m also not going to feel bad about treating myself every now and then. Because at one point I`ll be gone and all these savings will be for nothing. (using existentialism to justify consumerism - like a boss) So yeah, if you went a bit crazy this Black Friday, I`m there for you. And if you`ve been good, I applaud you.

Let`s start this haul with my KIKO bits, as I`ve spent most of my money in there. However, before you tut-tut, let me tell you that they were having a "buy 3, get 3 free" promotion. So I`ve actually saved some money. And I took advantage of the promotion and got my best friend some makeup as well, so don`t judge me.

The product I`m most excited about is the colour correcting concealer. If you`re like me and you suffer from redness, then the colour green is your best friend. I`ve actually tried it a bit and I`m very happy with the results. Another product that I`ve been using non-stop since I got it is their Long Lasting Stick in the shade 05. I`ve had eyeshadow sticks from KIKO before and they`re a dream to work with. They`re creamy, pigmented and long-lasting. I also got a Comfort Lip Liner and a Precision Lip Liner, both of which I`m happy with. For my best friend, I bought a Precision Eye Liner and a Volume&Definition Top Coat Mascara.

I also splurged a bit at Superdrug but compared to other times I`ve been good. Like always, I`m late to the party and I only just bought Maybelline`s Instant Anti-Age concealer. Spoiler alert: it`s worth the hype. I also picked up the Master Strobing Stick, but I`m on the fence with this one. I like the formula and it`s so easy to use, but it does not last too long.

I was about to go when I noticed that the Bourjois stand had a little offer. For every 12£ spent they would give you a little gift. The gift looked really nice and I thought that my bestie would love it, so I decided to take one for the team. So I picked up the Healthy Mix Serum Foundation and a Rouge Edition Velvet lipstick. The formula for the lipsticks is one of my favourites: not only is it long lasting, but it also feels very comfortable on the lips.

I did buy a lot in one day, but I have been very good for the past few months, so I suppose it`s not that bad. A few of these are gifts for my best friend as well, and I can`t say I feel too guilty. I mean, I regret buying another pair of shoes, but I don`t regret any of my beauty purchases.
