Seventeen Blogger Network Meet Up

Yesterday I attended the Seventeen Blogger Network Meet Up, and it was amazing so I had to share it with you guys! Being my second event, I was pretty nervous about it. However, it was done in such a lovely manner, that even an extremely shy person like myself was in its element. It was a smaller gathering, so it was the perfect opportunity to chat with everyone there. Truth be told, I think I was a bit awkward at some points and retreated into a corner, but I did talk with some lovely girls, so 10 points for Gryffindor!

As most of you are aware, Seventeen is a drugstore brand, and it`s part of Boots Company. I have tried a couple of products from them, and I very much liked them, the 3 Way Highlighter being my favourite. Once you arrived at the event, there were little stands where you could play with makeup and try everything.

The event had three speakers, and I have found all of their information very useful. Starting with the latest makeup trends and ending with tips to grow your blog, the people that were chosen were a good much because they had good knowledge of the business.
Makeup artist Vanesa Guallar had a simple, but effective makeup tutorial focused on highlighting and it will probably be the look I will go for when I`m on holiday (2 more weeks, yay). She was funny; she had useful tips and I love the fact that she went for a look that it`s easy to recreate. After that, Katie Snooks and Rollo Goldstaub (Youtube and Google Strategic Partner Manager) gave us some tips on how to have better blog/ Youtube channel. While Rollo was more focused on the Youtube part, the same tips can be applied on blogging, so I will make sure to keep in mind everything that he said.

My favourite part of the evening was when I met Katie. She was so friendly and nice, but most important, down to Earth. Her ten tips for bloggers were spot on, and I loved the fact that she acknowledged the fact that success does not come over time. The talk with her was so inspiring, and it really made me thin what I want to do with my blog. For two years, blogging was an on and off hobby, but now I am determined to commit to it!

In the end, I would like to thank everyone who made this meeting possible! All the girls have been so friendly and welcoming, making it a successful event! Also, thank you so much for the gifts, some of these products are favourites of mine, and some are new goodies that I can`t wait to test!
