The Body Shop Seaweed Clay Mask Review

I think that The Body Shop is one of my favourite brands when it comes to skincare. They just know how to cater to your skin`s needs and they always release new products to keep things interesting. While the Vitamin E range is my first choice in the colder months, during Spring/Summer my skin gets a bit bipolar and goes from dry to oily in a couple of days. So finding products that reduce the oiliness, but still add moisture is a difficult task during these months.

I am quite the face masks junkie and I might have lost count of how many I have. However, clay masks remain my ultimate favourites, I just love the feeling I get when they start to dry out and absorb the oil from your skin. Sure, you might look a bit scary and not being able to talk for 10 minutes it`s a bit unpleasant, but totally worth it in my opinion.

This mask is designed for people with combination/oily skin, so before you buy it, make sure it`s the right one for you. I read so many reviews where people complained that their skin turned red or that it was too harsh but you should always perform a skin test before you apply it. If you are allergic to an ingredient or it`s not suitable for your skin type, you shouldn`t really blame it on the product. If you have questions, ask someone to help you, that`s why they`re there! Sorry for the rant! As you might have guessed, I have combination skin. Sometimes it can get too dry and sometimes my T-zone shines like a disco ball, but a strict skincare routine helped a lot. I use this product once a week, apply a thin layer and let it work its magic for 10-15 minutes.

So far I like the results! My skin is not as oily as it used to be and I had fewer breakouts. I do suffer from pore congestion and this mask does a fantastic job at removing any impurities. The only negative thing I can say about this is that it has a strong scent when you apply it, but it does fade as soon as the mask starts drying.

This product made it`s way to my Top 5 Face masks, next to heroes from REN and Lush, so I`ll definitely buy it again. Let me know in the comments if you tried this product before or if you have any other recommendations. Also, would you be interested in a post where I feature my favourite face masks? I`m thinking about writing one.
