I started a book blog!

I know I`ve been a bit M.I.A. lately, but I had a good reason. One would be that I`m back home to do my physiotherapy for my back problems (bad posture at school), but nobody wants to hear me complain, so let`s skip ahead. While home I decided to start my book blog and that`s what I`ve been focusing on in the past weeks. I know I neglected Beauty Nerd a bit, but I`m quite confident that now I can do both at the same time.

I think it`s no secret, that I`m quite the bookworm and I`ve read over 200 books or even more. I am quite shy and I always had problems dealing with people, that`s why blogging helped me so much. It gave me a bit of courage and it put me out there, but it also protected me, because I didn`t have to talk with anyone face to face. I had a few posts about books here as well, but I felt like I needed a separate place. Too many topics would make this blog hectic and while I like to mix it up a little, I want beauty related posts to remain the main focus here.

After a week of stress and planning, I finally launched Carmen`s Reading Corner. (sometimes I use my middle name as an alias) There I will review and recommend books, talk about my favourites and discuss TV/movie adaptations. It`s a project that`s quite close to my heart, so it would mean the world if you`d take a look. So far I`ve only posted my 2016 reading challenge, but I have 3 reviews coming up, so stay tuned.

  3. Congratulations on starting the book blog! I used to love reading (I don't have much time anymore) but it's still one of my favourite hobbies and I'm constantly buying new books. I can't wait to see more posts on your book blog, do you have any TV/movie adaptations you would recommend? I love them the most and I'm quite sad my favourite is nearing to an end :)

    1. It depends the genre you`re interested in. Normally movies make good adaptations...with TV shows it`s a bit more problematic, because they improvise a lot, but sometimes I like them better than the book.Like Game of Thrones.

  5. Congratulations on your new blog, darling! :) I'm sure it will be just as amazing as this one is. <3 Also, I know what you mean about blogging being a bit of a social 'outlet' - I too am very shy talking to people face to face, I find making friends online via blogging so much easier and more fun! <3
