Mini Kiko Haul

I know, I know, I`m such a bad blogger. I was supposed to finish my Blogmas week, but I had no energy left. A job in retail during holiday season it`s nuts:you have long hours, crazy customers and the stress of impossible targets (as a manager I have more responsibilities, hurrah) I just felt that the content I was writing wasn`t good enough, had no time to promote posts or engage with readers and my mood is constantly bad, because I`m so tireeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed! I think the only day I had some fun and was able to relax since I started my Christmas schedule was last Friday when I met Pam from Pam Scalfi. She is such a lovely girl, you should really check out her blog, I`m sure you`ll love it. Anyway, after lunch at Nando`s we had some browsing and did a bit of budget damage in Kiko, so I thought I`ll show you what I got.

I`ll start with my favourite, a long lasting eyeshadow stick in shade 37, a combination between plum and burgundy. I don`t know if it was Lily Pebbles or Amelia Liana who compared these to the By Terry sticks, but I heard great things about it. This is such a gorgeous and pigmented eye shadow, it lasts for so long and blends effortlessly, I`m extremely glad I bought it. Plus, the glitter in it makes it so festive, perfect for parties!

I also got 2 cream eye shadows. Because I work a lot, I don`t have time to do a proper eye makeup, I just need something that works fast. Cream eye shadows are my favourites because they can be used as a base or on their own, depending on your preferences. Shade 1 is a champagne shimmery eye shadow and it looks great as brow bone highlighter and as a base for other colours.  Shade 4 is a matte taupe colour and I`ve been loving it as an all over the lid shade when I want a natural look.

I really went crazy in the eye shadow department and got one of their Colour Sphere eyeshadows, in shade 05. I bought this for my Christmas party makeup look, I think it looks really festive and I had shades from this range before, so I know they`re really good.

I was about to pay when I spotted this Glowing Potion aka a perfecting serum. I just wanted to buy it because it looked very high-end, but I tried the tester as well, just to be sure. It felt really lightweight, it left a subtle glow and has a nice but not too overwhelming scent. I only tried this for a few days, but so far I love it. It`s not easy to find a drugstore serum, but hopefully, this will be the one.

And this is everything I`ve got! And believe it or not, the total was less than 30£, an absolute bargain in my opinion. Let me know in the comments if you tried these and what other Kiko products I should get next.

  2. I've only tried the eyeshadow sticks in brown tones, I don't remember the exact name and it is really good! When I am in hurry, it is one of the products that I reach. Glowing potion sounds interesting, I'd like to know more about it.

    1. I only discovered them when I moved to London, but they are indeed great. Maybe some sites will start stocking these in Australia soon.
