Makeup Revolution Ultra Brow Palette Review

Brows are that one facial trait that can entirely change your appearance, so it`s no wonder the market it`s filled with products that promise you Cara Delevigne features. I`ll admit, until Uni I used to ignore them, but a few years ago I realized that well-groomed brows can help you get away even without wearing makeup. Yup, there are days when I don`t want to make an effort, but I know that tamed brows will make me look more put together. I have tried everything, from pencils, to tinted gels and powders and it comes down to how much time I have to prepare. If I`m in a hurry I`ll probably use a gel, but if I have time, then I like taking a brow kit and really sort things out.

As you can see, the palette is really big, the same size as their eye shadow palettes, the Salvation one, for instance. It comes with a full-size mirror, which is always a plus and the packaging is sturdy enough for travelling. However, I sometimes have problems closing it, something that has never happened to me before. Anyway, there are 3 shades to choose from: Fair to Medium, Medium to Dark and Extra Dark to Black. When I bought this I was having blonde hair, so I went for the lighter option.

Because this is such a big palette, you really get a lot of it. There are 4 eyebrow powders, 2 tinted eyebrow wax, a pencil, a browbone highlighter and an eyebrow arch enhancing cream. As tools, you`ll get a set of mini tweezers and 2 mini brush applicators. Like all tools included in kits, the tweezers are not amazing, but the brushes are OK. Maybe I would have put one mini brush and one spoolie, but that`s my personal preference.

Moving on to the shades, because I got the lighter version, I can use only the brown powder and wax. On a day off I tried the lighter shades, just to test them, and they applied really nice, they were really easy to work with. I know some people like to use the wax and powder separately, but I like to mix them. I will define my brows with the wax and then fill in with the powder. Being lighter shades the result is not too dark and it doesn`t look like I draw my brows with a marker. (you`d be surprised by the pictures you see on the internet) The arch enhancing cream is a really nice addition, especially when my brows are not threaded and I need to give them a normal shape. I always love highlighting my brow bone area and the highlighter is a subtle pearly pink, that adds a nice glow.

Overall I am really impressed with this palette and for 7.99£, it`s definitely worth every penny. I mean, just look how much you get inside, this will probably last you a year. Now that I`ve gone back to my natural colour I think I`ll pick up the Medium to Dark palette, so I`ll let you know how that works. In the meantime, let me know which are your favourite eyebrow products.

  1. This looks like a great product, I love the fact they have powders, waxes and highlighters in there! The packaging does look a little big though! I really like my brow kits from 17 and Soap and Glory!

    1. I have the 17 kit, it was the first brow product I got. The palette is quite big, so it`s best used at home, when you have time to prepare.

    1. My brows are the worst, so thin and sparse, I always need to fill them in. This is a great kit and it`s really cheap considering how much you get inside.

  6. wowza this palette is huge!! looks awesome for brows, and the shades that don't go on the brow could totally be eyeshadows (god, that's why i love me a brown/neutrals palette - such good multitaskers!). x

  9. I bought this palette ages ago and still haven't gotten round to trying it out. I find playing around with eyebrows a bit scary as I always seem to go overboard - either to skinny or absolutely massive.

    1. I always do it when my eyebrows are threaded...otherwise I`d give them weird shapes as well.
