What`s in my travel makeup bag?

As you can see, I`m very excited about this vacation, I started packing days ahead, to make sure I take everything I need. When I was packing my clothes I went a bit overboard, so planning my outfits helped stay focused. It was a bit easier picking my beauty products because after the initial excitement I thought really hard about what I`ll use and took only essentials. Some of you will probably think I took too many products while others will consider them a few, you decide.

All my makeup products went into this little pouch from Glossybox. Not only is it really cute, put it also fits the theme, since I`m going to Paris. The fact that it`s clear makes everything easier, you can go through it without making a mess. It also closes with a zip, so it`s very safe for travelling. I already put my things from Glasgow in it, sorry if it doesn`t look that nice and clean anymore.
And here`s the content! For my base I decided to take a travel sample of Benefit`s POREfessional, to keep my makeup in place when it`s hot. Instead of a foundation, I went for Bourjois` CC Cream, which offers a light coverage and lets your skin breathe. To hide any imperfections I`ll use the Rimmel Wake ME Up Concealer and the MUA PRO-Base Prime&Conceal kit. I do love a bit of colour on my cheeks and this Shimmer Shades blush from Collection has 4 lovely shades to choose from. You can wear one at a time or mix them up. Speaking of cheeks, I`ll give mine definition with the Sleek Contour kit.

I wanted to get one my neutral palettes, but then I thought that since I`m on holiday, I should have some fun. The Spring Break eye shadow palette from MUA contains a mix of neutrals, pinks and purples, to help you get countless looks. Good looking brows make your eyes stand out even more and for that, I`ll be using the Brow Satin Eye pencil from Maybelline. A bit of Rimmel`s Scandal`Eyes Mascara on my lashes and I`m good to go.

As a lipstick hoarder, I had to restrain myself and selected 2 vibrant colours, that scream holiday. A red lip pencil from Lord&Berry and a coral red lip gloss from Tanya Burr.
UPDATE: I freaked out when I saw I forgot my nudes, so I added my Nars lip pencil in Rikugien and my Rimmel Kate lipstick in 08. I mean, let's be honest: I`ll probably wear red lipstick one time at dinner and then stick to neutrals.

So here are the products I`m taking with me on my summer holiday. Do you think it`s a lot? What do you carry with you in your travel makeup bag?

  3. I'm also taking my glossybox pouch :p

Is it bad that I wanna take the CC cream as well as a foundation? You have so much less than I do. I feel guilty now :(

  5. I wish I only take as much as you whenever I travel but nope, I take almost double the amount. LOL! It drives my husband nuts whenever I'm trying to figure out what makeup to bring.

    1. I normally carry a lot of clothes and shoes, that drives my husband mad because there`s no space left for him.

  9. If you can fit all the products inside that very pretty make up bag, then I'd say it's not too much ;-) I don't think you can ever really have too much make up whilst travelling (with the exception), better to be prepared! I feel the same way about wearing a neutral lip during the day & a red in the evening, you can't go wrong with a red lip & evening wear.. Especially in Paris I'm sure! Such a lovely post, with some great products & photos too :-)

    1. MUA palettes are amazing, I think I have 4 of them. This is not as pigmented as the netral ones, but it`s still pretty damn good.
