May Reading List

Hello, everyone! It is May and I think it`s actually colder than in February, but if the calendar says it`s the last month of Spring, who am I to argue. All I can do is restock my hot chocolate supplies, put on fluffy pj`s, throw a blanket and read. So here`s what will sit on my bed table this month:

The Ultimate Natural Beauty Bible - Sarah Stacey and Josephine Fairley
Most of you know by now that I try to use as many organic products as I can. Last year I read an article that linked parabens to certain types of cancer and I even wrote an article about some brands that use natural ingredients. This book is divided into more chapters, like makeup, skincare or hair, and it shows you what are the best products to use. It`s full of useful tips and home-made recipes and it even shows you how to read a label. Plus, it`s full of gorgeous photos, that can serve as a prop for your insta/blog photos.

Breakfast at Tiffany`s - Truman Capote
(that`s how it`s been translated in Romanian)
I saw the movie when I was 14 and it`s been my favourite ever since. To be honest, that`s why it took me so long to read the book: when I love a movie too much I don`t know if I`ll like the book at all. Most of the times I prefer the books to the movies, but there are some exceptions: Atonement, Fight Club, Girl, Interrupted, just to name a few. I did read In Cold Blood, so I think I will like the book as well.

On The Road - Jack Kerouac
A book about youth and the American dream filled with sex, drugs and jazz. A good friend of mine recommended me this book after he saw me reading Ecstasy by Ryu Murakami. From what I understood, this book is part fiction and part autobiography, because it`s based on Kerouac`s own journey across America.

From next month, I don`t think I`ll do a reading list anymore. I might do a weekly or monthly review and show you guys the books I loved more detailed. I might even do a book club category on my blog. Would you like that? I just feel that if I do this post before reading the book I can`t give you much information. Anyway, have you read any of these books? What are you reading this month?
