MUA Spring Break Eyeshadow Palette

I used to love MUA`s eyeshadow palettes so much, they were the best thing you could get from the drugstore. But then Makeup Revolution hit Superdrug and I forgot about anything else. These are very similar brands, they`re both known as dupes for some high-end products. Now, I don`t know if this palette, in particular, is a dupe, but it has the nicest mix of colours I`ve seen in a while.

One thing I don`t like, however, is the design. I know it`s a cheap brand, but that`s not an excuse anymore. To be honest, this is way lately I bought more Makeup Revolution products, for the same price and maybe better quality, you also get a nice and sturdy packaging. This is a gorgeous palette, but I can`t really travel with it, it will break in a few seconds. Also, you get that useless sponge applicator that no one really uses, so that`s another minus.
(from left to right: Refine, Cherub, Spearmint?,  Amber, Posy, Sarrel) -these are hard to read man!
(from left to right: Aurora, Bronze Blush, Catacomb, Sea Foam, Gold Khaki, Damson)

Moving on to the actual shades inside, nothing bad on that front. You get 12 shimmery colours, ranging from neutrals to light pastels. Damson, the purple one, is the main reason I bought this palette. It`s so pigmented, creamy and easy to blend, it`s a dream. Even without an eye shadow primer, there was no fallout at all. Sticking to my neutral theme, I also love Bronze Blush, Amber, Gold Khaki and Refine. Aurora can be a really nice highlighter, it instantly brightens the eyes. There are 2 shades I won`t use, Spearmint and Sea Foam, blue is not really my colour.

To be honest, I had better palettes from MUA. I feel like the lighter shades are not that pigmented, you need to apply more and they tend to crease a bit. I will probably use only 5 shades out of 12, which is not great. But to be honest, Damson is such a stunning colour, I would happily pay 4 pounds just to get my hands (or brush) on it.

Have you tried this palette yet? What are your thoughts on it?

  1. These colours look right up my alley! I may have to go out an buy these!
On the packaging front, my MUA palettes have held up longer travelling than my sleek palette which just mysteriously broke!

    1. It`s a decent palette for the money. I did not have any problem with Sleek, sad to hear about yours.

  3. I agree about the packaging, it's a lot more flimsy and cheaper than Makeup Rev. Their new Elysium palette looks lovely though, think I'll wait and get that instead :)

  5. I keep seeing this palette and considering getting it mainly for the purple shade but I don't think I can really justify it just for one shade even though it's really cheap!
