Blackhead Killer Face Masks*

I think by now everyone knows that I`m a face masks junkie. I have a big drawer full of them, from 1 pound ones to really expensive ones, from hydrating ones to exfoliating ones. If I think about it, applying a good face mask is probably my favourite beauty ritual. So when I got these in my mail, I was over the moon, thrilled that I will add something new to my stash.

Before we get to the good stuff, I need to give you a bit of background. If you look at my skin, it looks quite normal, no too many spots or pimples. But my nose and chin are filled with blackheads, it`s like a tribe waiting to attack. And another problem is that my skin feels very dry around my cheeks, so I need something effective, but gentle at the same time. Was this mask a gift from God or did it leave my skin all red and sensitive? Read all about it, I won`t spill the beans.
Blackhead Killer Face Masks

The first thing that I liked about it, is that it comes in little sachets, so you won`t end up with a messy packaging. One use and that`s it. (perfect for travelling as well) The quantity is enough for one good application, whether you have a pea sized head or a forehead as big as China. What really intrigued me, though, was the texture. Yup, I was dealing with my first black mask. Now, I know some people might not like it, but the rocker in me was quite pleased about it. Back in black baby! It`s quite a thick consistency, so I had to spend more time applying it, but it was easy to work with.

On the back of the pack they say you should leave it for 10 minutes, but I prefer leaving it for at least 15 minutes, to work its magic. Because it`s a peel off mask, removing it was a bit painful. I did not have any problems around my T-zone, but peeling it from my cheeks was a torture. However, after I did it, there was no pain afterwards or any tightness. And the results were beyond amazing! My skin looked cleaner, more fresh and healthier. Almost all of the blackheads on my chin disappeared and on my nose, there were only half left. (there leaves the Chief of the tribe, harder to remove, but hopefully, by the third use I`ll be blackheads free) Seriously, the results were similar to a professional treatment. I applied my face cream and then my makeup. And guess what? Because my skin was less oily, I managed to get out of the house without any powder.

I tried a lot of face masks over the years and a lot more since I started blogging, but this is definitely in my top 3. However, because I don`t have too many skin problems, I`ll use it only on my T-Zone and concentrate on that area only. If the first use was that impressive, I can`t wait to see how my skin will look after I used these packs for a longer time.

You can get this amazing product from StyleLux, 5 packs for only 14.95 pounds.

  1. They sound great & you're right, they're so much easier than the horrible massive packets which I end up throwing half of the product away in most of the time x
